Well after some some very lengthy meetings with the Local Bank (wife) It looks like we have been approved for a New 1/87th Scale Race Facility. Primary land location has been located and will start breaking ground (cleaning out the garage) in the very near future.
Also after speaking with the Contractors, and Buiders we have all agreed on the construction of a 1/87th scale facility which will consist of using a recessed double track layout using the outer lanes with plans to also include a timing system for both 1/8th mile & 1/4 mile races with a fully funtional return road system as well as other key / neat features. I was looking at using a 0-30amp power supply for the GO Juice, but after looking around I am leaning more towards the deep cycle battery route.
Stay tuned for the "BIRTH" of yMax Dragway.......

Sounds great and a big thank you to the banker!
Question: If you plan on using deep cycle batteries what do you plan to make voltage adjustments with?

Alan,
My Electricians and construction crew is currently looking at adding adjustable voltage regulators, that way we can "Dial - In" power for each lane, and for each class the track will support
Example of Some Classes we are looking at running as well as others (Stock - S/S - P/S - F/C - T/F)
Cant forget Pro Mod and Gassers

As I have stated previously we are looking at constructing the faciity using the plastic style track runing two tracks and using the outer lanes of each.
So here is another question for you guys. Which would give us the BEST BANG for the Buck in regards to laying the foundation?
Old style Aurora Track with pins and clips - AFX Style - Lifelike (Which I currently have some I could Use) - Tyco or Auto World?
Or a combo of some of the above. I have seen adapter pieces for several but would like to make this as "Smooth" as possible using the plastic track construction and see how things go before I can convince the bank at upgrading and looking at going the MDF routed track in the distant future
