Al gets that one! I just remember that when i got a new one the first thing I would do is put on a set of AJ's. Oh and the axles didn't bend so easily.

Answer we're looking for is an obvious one........ be the cars whole or broken down to chassis only. Major difference between new and original design. In truth I overlooked the different parts like tires & arms. Because of design difference being so obvious.
NEXT. QUESTION WILL BE SUNDAY THE 28TH.

"QUESTION # 3 - - - X-Tractions, Magna-Tractions of today are the modern versions of the Aurora Factory Experimental or AFX.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TODAYS CARS AND THE ORIGINAL AFX ? ............ not the plastic."
the original Aurora A\FX had brush springs similar to the original Aurora T-Jet with short motor magnets, again, like the T-jet. the differences between that and the current Xtraction Chassis from AW/JL are the traction magnet, the taller motor magnets, which can be seen from the bottom of the chassis, armature lams and OHMs and the brush spring tabs.
had the question been ... " what is the difference between original Aurora MagnaTraction chassis and current AW/JL Xtraction chassis?" , the obvious difference would have been the traction magnet.
the original Aurora A/FX chassis gave birth to the original Aurora A/FX MagnaTraction chassis with the differences being the visible, taller motor magnets, different OHM armatures, different motor brush springs.
so specifics in any question becomes paramount when expecting the answer YOU think is correct.
ah, but, I digress.

BINGO ! One for , Al. Cars of today are copies of Aurora's 2nd generation of AFX. First AFX had smaller mm that were NOT visible from underneath. A distinct difference from a distance !
Thought the use of the word original was clue enough........ should have said major difference, perhaps ? If one was to look at both, the obvious difference is the visibility of mm on one and not the other. Maybe I should have said obvious difference ?

Nice job Al! My phone is so slow, or maybe it's me. I'll probably miss the next one, headed to KC for the NASCAR race this weekend. Good luck everybody!
