I would have trouble stopping those speeds. I am thinking of lowering the race voltage to 20v for the outlaw classes. That and the shorter distance should help.

nothing personal about your plan. but all my outlaw type cars require an extensive amount of personal attention before making a pass to insure that they don't break. yes, they are always that close to total destruction. I am trying to think of a way to build a couple that are detuned from my program to be able to make more than 6 passes without direct attention. that will be the real challenge of running outlaws proxy. creating the fastest that can continue running with no maintenance! I am considering that exact point. but, for now, it is Holiday time. Happy Thanksgiving everyone

I am in the process of building several cars for these classes myself. Have one inline running real strong so far. Keeping the voltage down at 20 volts should lessen the breakage somewhat. Parts are ordered for the T jet and AFX classes. I expect to see some breakage in these classes.

Forgot to mention this - not sure if it would be NTRA approved....... instead of running heads up for outlaws an ET comp could be done. If cars can make a pass or two or three an average could be determined. Or they.could turn into endurance races like , Al mentioned. Post from Roy, reminded me. Part of the reason for running low amp wall pks at Curse of the Hearse. Keep down expense, building & repairing. While letting entrants play at same time.

I am planning on running the outlaws at only 20 volts, same for brackets. This should help with the breakage. I have a fairly hot wind running at that voltage now with no problems after about 40 passes. This is an inline which I think are a little more durable. Have some hot pancakes coming too. I have seen that type of racing in the real street classes in Orlando and Bradenton. The cars go for a 20 mile drive then go back to the track and make 3 consecutive passes one right after the other. Best average wins. One car hit high 7s which is amazing for a car that car actually drive on the street for a period of time. For this race we will be heads up. Lets see who can last the longest. Races will be seeded in the Outlaw classes with low ET getting preference.
