Racers, Ladies and Gentleman, Boys and Girls, and those watching just because, Welcome to . . . Before we get started a few words pertaining to this weekend's awards ceremony. . . Director's Address2014 was indeed a milestone year for NTRA. Having recovered from a three event season just a few years ago to nearly an event every month in 2014. I would suspect that many organization endures periods of hardship. But it is the best of them that survive the hardships and makes a comeback as successful as NTRA has. So often an individual is recognized as having make such a great impact as being responsible for a groups' survival. For Apple it was Steve Jobs, in Microsoft it is Bill Gates, at various times it is credited to Lee Iacocca for having rescued Ford and Chrysler. Yet there are so many unnamed heroes who's contributions go unnoticed or unrecognized. It is these people of NTRA that are most responsible for the revitalization and the success NTRA now celebrates. NTRA has many sponsors and contributors that have continually given over the years. NTRA has a fantastic group of guys that we know as our Racemasters, who give us their time and efforts to host events. But the main cog that makes this all work is you, the Racers. It is your ongoing participation that makes sponsors and contributors give, and Racemasters sacrifice time and put in the effort. They strive to do their best for you because you strive to do your best. So to the Racemasters (past and present), all of our sponsors and contributors through the years, and most of all the participants and racers, thanks for a fantastic and successful 2014 race season. A Note About AwardsLast year NTRA introduced trophies as part of the awards system and attempted to carry it throughout the 2014 race season. I am sad to announce that executive sponsorship responsible for providing trophies and some of the prizes has ended as of September 30, 2014. As a result NTRA will not be able to provide trophy awards for the ending of the 2014 season. In effort to keep our award winners from leaving the season empty handed, the certificate system will be reinstated and certificates given in place of trophy awards. The certificate system shall be used for the 2015 race season and shall remain NTRA's method of recognition until such time as executive sponsorship is reinstated or new executive sponsorship obtained. A Note About PointsThe NTRA points system strives to make an even playing field for the beginner and experienced alike. To attempt to level the field bracket points were included in all classes. It was also to done to produce more winners in the final tallies. The system still needs some tweaking but does show that the attempt was a step in the right direction. It also created some problems in that it did not always show pure class winners. So, weekend in addition to awarding those winners based on the NTRA system, though not to be awarded pure class winners will also be recognized. Coming up next . . . Class winners from the Sportsman category. Stock Nostalgia Funny Car Econo-Dragster All when we come back.

As Top Eliminator rankings it is SKR who surpasses all with only one loss of twelve races. JJwallace and PhantomBSE follow coming in at second and third respectively. Next up we review Doorslammer class results. JJwallace comes in on top in NTRA point with a respectable lead over Eagle Racing and Jim Russell.
