Lewis, How did you make out with finding 0.7 ohm arm ? If I did calculations correctly........ a dbl wound 36g would be , 0.674 ohm. Going to try different guages and see what I can find closer to 1.0. Have an idea doing dbl 36 will be filling to max capacity to get the 0.67 ohm.

I have a 1 ohm but I dident find the .7 I'm talking to Dan now about a .4 ohm arm there $40 if I can come up with the supplies I might try to wind one just to try it. It will probably grenade but that would be cool too lol. I am going to try to get some of Dans blanks I don't know if he will sale them blank but I really like them. I haven't finished the wizzard car yet I just finished ordering the rest of the parts today. I'm going with the 1.5 in the car for her state race since I don't have any track to test launch yet i hope it hooks up on take off I really don't have alot of time left to get it done her race is the 26 of this month. I really need to get me about three ft of plastic track and a power pack. I went all silver big foot system with shunt wires. The motor mags are pro 10 traction is neo slivers with shims to adjust height. Rear is 7 22 with .470 tires wheels are .365. I also ordered a variety pack of brass and aluminium armature shims. O ring front axle. And I got a set of ball bearings for the armature.

Switching from 7t to 8t has become standard practice for me (dragging). ......... Peter

I actually started to order a 8 tooth set but I talked to 3 different guys Tha claim the wont run them unless they have to because the 7tooth is suppose to last longer and hold up better but I dunno I haven't tried one YET.

Do these three guys drag race ? Intresting is - unless they have to. 7t pinions are good for short road courses...... 8t are used for longer ones. Gear ratio for 7/22 is 3.14/1.0 , 8/22 is 2.75/1.0. 7t may give quicker acceleration, but may also be cutting top end short. Quick out of the hole is good. But getting passed after half track usually means a loss. The one inline class we have run more than once is the MM/PS. I think most if not all run an.8t gear for this. This year we started.running more advanced builds for inlines. Before they are run again I'd like to experiment with a 9t pinion.

Yes they all three drag race. All three are car builders and retailers. Each mostly run inclines. Like I said I don't know I haven't used anything other Than that YET but i will. I cant see what the difference would be between any of them as far as lasting. Unless maybe teeth are thinner. I went with a 7 22 because I was talking to a couple of them and both said that's what they would use with the tire size I chose (470) If i had some track i would experiment more but untill then I can only go with experience

Tire size may well be the reason for gear selection or ratio. I'm far from an expert on this. Let us know which way you go. Be interesting to know outcome.
