Smoked the arm in my sons best car. The only one that hit 5.0 ohms. He will surely accuse me of sabatoogee.....

Pretty quiet over here. Surprising since 3 and 4 gear X cars are similar. Many parts from T jets work in X cars also. Can't figure out why there are so few entries in X3. Seems like a class all would like?

Perhaps, people are struggling to find another good mean green arm, I know I am. I'm shocked there are so few builders in the street class. 14 cars but only 7 people for a stock class?

I was fortunate enough to have been acquiring them for a long time. Many of them run well. Had more trouble getting the stock cars ready but was able to come up with some 14s. In the last race I had to go buy 16 ohm armatures as I had none despite having almost 150 HO cars with more than half of them pancake style.

Don't get hung up on ohms, a good running stock motor is a good running stock motor. I've had 14s lose to 15s. I've also seen some AW/JL 14s outrun mean greens.

I know what you mean. Sometimes an ohm or 2 seems to make little difference. Just fried the closest arm I had to 5.0 which was in my sons car. Put one reading almost an ohm higher and it ran about the same. He still accused me of sabotage. Especially after we were testing one of his cars and a tire flew off and hit him.

I seen quite a few green wire and blue wire arms on ebay. Hope this helps the ones that's looking. Not sure of arms on ebay may be original or not........... Lucky Bob's has always had new mean greens for around $6- when I needed them. Original green or blue are getting expensive from what I've seen. .......... Peter

There are tons of new and old X cars available on E bay at very reasonable prices. Some even have the blue or green armature in them. I have bought some complete cars for 15-20 dollars and chassis for around 10.

Checked on E bay and there are a bunch of mean green arms for sale. Most are with the top plate and gear. One has a buy it now for 12 of them still in the original package for 110.00. He has sold a bunch of those at that price. Most of them are LISTED for around 10 dollars including the top plate except for one who wanted 22.00. He was about double everybody else and it did not have a top plate. As a former RE appraiser what it SOLD for is far more important. There the price was between 5 and 7 dollars, used, with some cars including the arm selling for between 9-28 dollars depending on the condition of the body.
