the crowd gets up on their feet for this one as the anticipation is almost too much to bear. oh wait, my bad....... They are trying to get a better look at the Willys load. ok, back on track here. This was a great race. We didn't have any .7's but couldn't have asked for better R/T's and E/T's from this pair. Big Red takes the win! Congratulations Jeff! You are the Top Eliminator in Gasser. MM/PS should be exciting .0311 seperate 1 thru 4. A good R/T time will be crucial.
ADR is running an older chassis.

well that was a race! Both cars run a great number but Phantom had a little in the pocket from start. Remember all, MM/PS is the only class running at both tracks this weekend. Tonight we are running on 18v. Tomorrow we will crank it up to 26v at Drag City USA. Phantom advances to Round 2.   |

Jeff makes a great pass and ADR ends up deslotting and crossing the center line. Jeff moves onto Round 2.  This is where ADR finished. Full on in Jeff's lane.  |

Round 2 MM/PS
Coming to the staging lanes we have Jeff's Camaro taking on Phantoms Mustang. Phantom gets off the line first with a .0226 to Jeff's .0356. Both cars are running side by side and Phantom turns on the blue bulbs. Phantom advances with a .4781 to Jeff's .4789. Win margin was a .0147
Eagle takes his bye run to meet up with Phantom in the finals. Eagle goes .4743

Mountain Motor Pro Stock Finals Ford vs. Dodge, New Jersey vs. Texas, Silver vs. Blue ok I'll stop. Nobody wants to stage first. Eagle reluctantly goes in first. Tree comes down and Phantom has a slight whole shot. both cars make great passes with the Ford taking the Neon by a nose. Eagle numbers had Phantom covered up until 1000', The R/T really hurt him. Congratulations Phantom. You are the MM/PS Top Eliminator day 1 of "Terror in the Rockies" day 1 at Pikes Peak Dragway!
  Well gang. Day one has been fun. We did run all of the match races and will post results later this weekend. I hope you all enjoyed us having a little fun with your cars as much as we did. Time for you all to pack up your pits and make the 15 minute trek to Drag City USA. See you all tomorrow for day 2 racing at DCU. Posting will begin late afternon/early evening. |

Congratulations Tom on your MM/PS win! There's another one that was getting faster with every round. Those were all great Finals races in all classes. Thoroughly enjoyed watching the coverage Sam. Once again the track looks super. Looking forward to tomorrow at Drag City. Thanks to you and crew!
