I will schedule the race in late November so the cars will have time to get back to their owners. How does November 25, 26, 27 sound as a schedule date? I must say I like the way the rules are being handled now by applying rules that actually effect performance, good job. I tested a batch of cars that fit the class description yesterday. Few needed any changes to meet class requirements. Some were very quick and some were not. Here are some current pictures of my 1/64 1000' drag strip.

Your track is looking really good Dave! I like the landscape pics on the wall....nice touch. Just a little grass roots dragstip set out in the pasture.

I raced at many of those pasture tracks in the distant past. Flemington NJ comes to mind. When it first opened the pits were in a forest, you did have shade however. I tried to find a background that looked like the Tennessee hills, that one was the closest.

The river was on one side and pasture on the other. The shutdown emptied right onto the highway if you didn't stop in time. They still run there today. Good times for sure! Hey how are you liking the steel shut down set up? I have limited shut down like you and am doing some upgrades this fall. Was thinking about doing that.

The steel shutdown works well with high downforce cars. The more the better. Cars like stock T jets just roll right past it. The neo magnet 50+mph cars slow down a lot with that setup otherwise I would not be able to run them. They still hit the catch box pretty hard but I have not damaged any chassis and have only knocked off a few bodies with this setup. There is also dynamic braking before the steel strips. I bought 4 3' 1/8" x 1" steel strips at the local Lowes then drilled and countersunk 3 holes in each. Mounted them to a board matched the groove to the existing track and then screwed it to the track surface. Helps a lot with the strong magnet cars.
