I just want to make a suggestion. When drivers are actually present to run their cars I suggest using a pro tree with .1 loaded into the delay instead of the normal .4 which full size cars use. With that tree, unless you guess, red lights are eliminated and the driver with the best reaction time will have the edge. When I held a bracket race this was the tree timing I used and it eliminated red lights for the car that ran first, the second driver hearing the other car leave, we used a blinder on the tree, occasionally panicked and went early. For heads up races there are no red lights unless you have reflexes faster than your cat. Believe it or not we did have red lights with a .2 tree, that means the car and the driver broke the beams quicker than .2 seconds. Our average reactions were in the .2 second range using a start button. The blink blink bracket tree does not work well with these cars in my opinion as red lights are all to common. This is true in full size bracket racing as those I have watched were decided by red lights more than actual race wins. The only reason I believe it is still used in full size drag racing is some of the slower cars react so slow they need the extra time to react to the tree. Even the Beretta I had , which used a tranny brake, would take about .2 to react and move thru the beams and that had a 1.07 60' time. I ran a 95 Camaro which was street driven using a foot brake and that took about .4 to break the beams. I also realize that some systems do not allow changing the tree delay and then you have to go with what is available.
