Thanks for holding the race Al, enjoyed it, and thanks to all who participated. Don't know what happened to the blue 69 Camaro, must have blown a head gasket. Many do not think the Super III chassis does not run well but the 55 disproved that. Even the tires are from the factory on it. I am sure I can pick up .01-.02 with better tires on it. I have many nice 55 Chevy bodies but I saved that one from the scrap pile so it has some sentimental value.

In my November race I will only be running in the 2.5 modified class, maybe not even that, but I will be running in the PSO challenge ladder match's and any challenges for the 4 inline outlaw cars. I have to say the track I have gives me an advantage over other competitors by letting me know where the cars are doing well or poorly. That blue 69 Camaro was a match for the red 55, like I said it must have blown a head gasket. Thanks again to Al and all the competitors. Congrats to Rob and Devin for making the finals.

So, this event is over and it looks like it was the Dave632 show. Congratulations Dave, Devin, Rob and everyone that had a good entry. 28 cars total and some close races. Some were blowouts right from the start though. WHEELIE bars guys!!!! WHEELIE bars are a must. Let me say that it took as long to set up each race with the timing system as it did to do basic prep on each car for each race. And then the race is over in tenths of a second.
I was under the impression that the Trackmate drag pro 3000 would set up a ladder for each class once the names and car descriptions were entered. And based on qualifying the ladder would be automatic, making running races a bit easier. I cannot find out how to do that. Am I mistaken or just too stupid to manage to find the correct way to accomplish this task. Is there something else on the disk I need to download? Anyone?
Well, that aside, I enjoyed hosting and running everyone's cars.
Before each pass every car had the tires cleaned and the pickup shoes polished with a fine wheel in a dremel. I found no need to oil any of the cars. All the cars got two qualifying passes. Anything that I didn't accomplish was purely by mistake. On AFX/S I erased the data before remembering to take a picture of the screen, so that final wasn't available to post as a picture. Sorry.
3 classes is a lot to do by myself, but I am already considering another event.
Some guys sent lists with their cars describing which car was which for each class and that is a big help. Some guys just sent cars with return postage (THANK YOU).

Al I thoroughly enjoyed competing in the event. Devin was stoked that his lifelike car did so well. We are definitely up for another. And remember we are close and if I am off Devin and could help if needed.

Al, Thanks for hosting this event. It was a lot of fun participating. Your hard work is greatly appreciated. Judging by your wheelie bar comment, it sounds like we may need to add some to our cars. Except for a few Afx non Magnatraction cars with fresh Super tires, wheelies and deslotting didn't seem to be an issue on my track. Your track is probably putting out alot more power. Thanks for the heads up! Dave, congrats on your victories. We need to take away your wheelie bars and replace them with some HO anchors! Congrats to Dave M., Devin, and Rob on you strong performances. Lookin forward to Dave's event next month and Al's next race, once you're ready to do it again.

Al, I have no idea how to set up a ladder with the Trackmate but it surely would be a help when holding a race. It does show low qualifier however and so on down the line which I print out and use. I usually run 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, etc. Bill my anchors when down when my boat sank, seems the anchor sank the boat.

As Al stated wheelie bars are an important item when drag racing HO cars. Once traction reaches a certain level the cars will consistently pull the guide out of the slot.

Al, my cars all arrived today. Thanks for the plaques. Found the trouble with the blue 69 Camaro, the wheelie bar had bent in shipping and it was popping wheelies. Thanks again for hosting.

The cars made it home from PA yesterday. Thanks for hosting a successful event. I had a good time participating. Looking forward to the next time(with wheelie bars).
