MATCH 3 NZ Freightliner F/C (low) vs JJWallace C. Force F/C Race 1 This race was pretty one sided. JJ's car was slow off the line and the Freightliner car clocked a solid sub 1.00 run. Can't be sleeping against this car. It means business. .990et win / 1.111et lose Race 2 More of the same. JJ was left looking at parachute cords on the Freightliner car. The car is a beast and lays down the quickest time of the challenge. C. Force car upped it's performance, but it wasn't enough. New Zealand takes the Match in two. .948et win / 1.046 lose
NTRA 1 / NZ 2
MATCH 4 NZ Gieco TF vs SKR Alanabi TF Race 1 The Alanabi car hooks up better and pulls out to about 1 1/2 lengths and holds that for win number one. The Gieco car seemed to struggle down low and then picked it up down track. 1.216et win / 1.245et lose Race 2 These match ups are proving to be very competitive. This is anybody's race. The Gieco car has worked out the kinks and lays down a much improved run and easily takes the win over an Alanabi car that improved on it's time as well. This is tied one and one.......it goes to a third race. 1.139et win / 1.207et lose Race 3 These two cars were tied together all the way down the track! The Gieco car got out a half a car at the hit and neither gave an inch the rest of the way. Awesome race! Gieco car gets a hard fought Match win in three. New Zealand is now up 3 to 1. 1.177et win / 1.193et lose
NTRA 1 / NZ 3

MATCH 5 NZ Sandfly Racing Truck vs Eagle Racing Camaro NF/C Race 1 The pressure is definitely on the NTRA Team. They have to win out just to make it a tie with New Zealand. The Kiwi's didn't come to play around......but then they never do! I could tell with the set up of the cars they were serious. Eagle's Camaro has won several NTRA races in the past. What does the truck have in store? The cars get staged and the Camaro hooks up and puts the second fastest et of the day on the board. The truck struggled for the first part of the run. They are checking it out in the staging lanes hoping to figure it out. .954et win / 1.122et lose Race 2 The truck has a chance and is taking his time staging. He's playing head games with Eagle hoping he will make a mistake. They leave together but the Camaro get's it done but slows some. Sandfly Racing runs their best time. Eagle wins Match in two and draws NTRA closer to a tie. 1.012et win / 1.093et lose
NTRA 2 / NZ 3
MATCH 6 NZ Aarons TF vs JJWallace Grape Ape Race 1 Can the Grape Ape pull out this last win for the NTRA? The cars launch and the Aarons car hesitated through the middle of the track and slowed at the end. The altered ran a solid A to B pass and takes the first win. New Zealand team is all over the Aarons car between races. 1.116et win / 1.539et lose Race 2 The Grape Ape car slows slightly but still has enough performance advantage to take the win. The Aarons car was able to improve on their first run but it wasn't in the cards. JJ wins the Match and ties up the Challenge 3 to 3. 1.131 wins / 1.443 lose. You couldn't script this any better!!
NTRA 3 / NZ 3

As I said at the beginning of the challenge....there will be no ties. The Kiwi Challenge 2 will be decided in best 2 out of 3 run off of the 2 fastest cars of the day. The lowered NZ Freightliner F/C and the NF/C Camaro of Eagle Racing. Both cars best times on the day are within a couple of thousandths. It could go either way.
Kiwi Challenge Run Off Final NZ Freightliner F/C vs Eagle Racing NF/C Camaro Race 1 This is it for all the marbles! These teams know what's at stake. Lights drop and the Freightliner F/C gets off the line first. Eagle was starting to pull him back in, but too little too late. He has one more chance. Freightliner car is still running strong and takes the first win. .986et win / 1.033et lose Race 2 Eagle needs this win in a bad way. The cars leave...this one's close. Eagle betters his time but the Freightliner F/C is not going to be denied this day and takes the win. What a great race to end on! WM .014. .994et win / 1.009et lose
NTRA 3 / NZ 4

I have no problem if you want to run more PSO races and drop my car out of the list since it broke. That's just drag racing, anything can happen and breakages are just part of the game!!

CONGRATULATIONS to the New Zealand HO Drag Racing Team for your win in the Kiwi Challenge 2!!
This was a lot of fun once again! It's been a long day and I'm going to shut it down. I do want to thank all the participants of this event......the NTRA members that always send their cars and the Kiwi racers that have been a huge support at my races. You guys and gals made this a great "interim" event. 26 cars showed up for this race....thank you!! I am liking the PSO format and it is getting better and better with each race. The next one in Colorado should be very interesting. Thank you Eagle Racing for your help on Friday. Thanks also to Sam for providing us this platform to play with our slot cars. See ya'll at the next race!

No there have been enough races run. Not sure what happened to the car, but you will have a chance to repair it for another run up the list. That's pretty much how it's handled on the show. Except they only get a week....lol. The car was a screamer before it broke. Thanks Dave.

Thanks for hosting another great event Jeff. On behalf of the Kiwi boys I would like to thank all the competitors that sent cars to the race. It is an honor to be able to race the best guys in the business. There were no rule updates done on the Villian for this race and it showed. I hope to be more competitive next round. Thanks again Jeff and crew hope we can get a Kiwi Challenge going again next year.

Nice job Jeff. Congrats to the KIWI guys for their win and all the competitors for a good show. I have very few stock 4 gear cars, just my track ambulance and one dragster. Sadly the ambulance is quicker and faster. I will see if I can get one of them up and running for the next Kiwi challenge race. This was my first list race and it was fun. I will be back for next months run. My blockhead 55 Chevy driver will have a helmet on for the next race, most likely a square one. My November race is getting entries already from other sites so it may be a crowded one. I will be holding list races for NTRA members only at that race but there are other classes for everybody.
