Pro Street Outlaw/ 3G Comp qualifying: This class has really picked up performance. Several T jets and 4 gears are in this class with some surprise performances. 18 Cars were entered in this class. Many of the cars are just flying now with MPH in the 20+ range and ETs in the mid to low 6s common place. Starting from #9 #9 Richardslenj .6349 24.44 #10 79 Malibu wht/grn 78 Vette .6367 24.09 #11 Dave632 black 67 Camaro .6409 22.73 #12 Clyde Willys Big John Mazmanian .6538 24.61 #13 79Malibu yel/bk Dodge Jegs 4G .6824 19.99 #14 Dave632 Farm Truck .6895 22.50 #15 Nosubfor3 blu/wh 78 Vette .7442 21.64 #16 Bluesguy yl/org Chevy 56 .8469 18.23 #17 Alexdale blk Willys 1.3330 11.84 #18 Old Mech Maroon Vega 4G 2.0186 5.86 top 8 starting with #8 #8 Schlenserj black/maroon Buick .6326 23.03 #7 JJWallace dark blue Plymouth .6242 23.35 #5-6 Dave632 yellow 55 Chevy .6170 23.84 #5-6 Nosubfor3 blu/wht 78 Vette .6170 22.96 #4 Kiwidave white/green Hemi Dodge .6154 22.80 #3 Hilltop gray 55 Chevy .6126 22.50 Who is TQ? This one turned out to be a tie and one of the cars is a T jet. #1-2 ECBill black/yel Vette .6017 23.11 tie #1-2 Clyde Willys Stone Woods & Cook .6017 24.01 tie Congratulations to ECBill and Clyde as they tied to the ten thousandth for TQ in the AFX comp class. Many close cars in this one. Lots of races will be decided by a hole shot even though cars are started simultaneously some cars have a better reaction time. This will effect the outcome of quite a few races. OUTSTANDING performance from these cars when the average off the shelf car like this will run in the 1.2-1.5 range at about 10-12 mph. This class will be a tough one to win. PSO TQ tie Clyde & ECBill

Good to see my slow car beat what I thought was the fast one ECBills 57 Chevy, both of Clydes cars and yours were the 5 T jets in the AFX SS class. Your cars did well for a first timer. Many of the racers have been at this for years. If you note in the AFX comp class one of the TQ cars, the Willy's is a T Jet. The AFX car was more consistent in performance in this case however as it took 3 out of the top 5 qualifying times. One of my cars, the black 67 Camaro was also a T jet, it qualified 11th despite its sub .65 time. Competition in this class has really heated up.

A break from qualifying. This is an exhibition run between 2 4 gear outlaw cars. This is the third time we have done this. I think I won the last time but Jeff blew my doors off on this one!!! Wait a minute dragsters have no doors... He blasted down the track with a .4586 @ 36.27 to my .4770 @ 32.16. The 60' time was the biggest difference as my car was tied to a stump. Sorry I read the screen wrong, the Nuclear Banana had the better 60'. The way this system works you have to add the reaction difference + the 60' difference to get the combo time. In that case the yellow car was ahead with a .032 lead at the 60' which did not last long as Jeffs car pulled ahead by the 330' and extended the lead to the finish. Exhibition 4GO

Exhibition resultsDave you know we are going to have to keep this match race going. It's the only opportunity that I get to run my unlimited 4 Gear cars. They are a lot of fun to tinker around with. That is the best et I've run I think....or at least close to it. Man I sure do enjoy those incrementals! Gotta get my timing system installed. Great job!

If you look at the 60' and reaction time your car is just killing mine. Your tires are superior to mine and Eagle does not make them anymore. I will have to experiment. I have a 3G unlimited pancake that used to run in the high .3s at over 40 mph but those hot pancake arms do not last long.

I have a question. I don't see a time posted for the green/ Gold car? In testing it was running .770's consitantly. Just curious is all. Thankx for hosting this event Clyde-0-mite

I don't want to hijack the race thread with tech talk, but you are right about the tires. With more traction and downforce comes a lot more stress on the gears. Jag Hobbies has an S501 silicone tire that is large diameter and SuperJets new urethane tires run pretty well if you can keep them on. I just found some rubberized super glue for gluing tires on a 1/32 site that I am going to try. The tires on that car are wearing out.

Thankx for hosting this event Clyde-0-mite Clyde sorry I missed that time, I corrected it. It was 1.49 @ 8.16. Something was wrong with it as it ran nothing like the other similarly prepared car

Next and final qualifying class is the fastest; Inline Super Comp or 2.5. These cars will get 2 qualifying attempts, one on each lane as they are a little more violent and the speeds they reach can throw tires off. I have even had to glue front tires on as they will occasionally blow of the rim at speed. In this class I recommend sili foam tires as they are the only ones I have found that can stay on a 30-60 mph car. Never found a glue that can hold other type tires on. Inline super comp 2.5 qualifying: Starting from #5 #5 ECBill wht 57 Vette .4223 28.17 #6 JJWallace blk/grn Dodge 2010 .4328 31.57 #7 Gymi black Dodge Charger .4580 27.83 #8 Nosubfor3 ppl/brn 80 Camaro .4717 28.65 #9 Alexdale rd/blk Dodge Kendall .4865 27.83 #10 Bluesguy silver Dodge .5616 20.85 Now for the top 4 in this class starting with #4 #4 Gymi blk Dodge Daytona .4135 31.86 #3 Dave632 blue 55 Chevy .4118 31.71 #2 Kiwidave bk/wh Mustang 2010 .4018 38.09 and the #1 car in Inline super comp 2.5.
