Nail bitter weak end for sure. Rick make sure the gear clamp is on tight to prevent the large idler from climbing up and offsetting the gear mesh. Also check the holes on both large and small idlers. If the holes are to big the gears flop around and break loose. If the hole in the larger is to small then it will not mesh with the smaller one correctly. When you get the car back spin the rear slowly and observe how all the gears mesh. Does one rise as you spin the rear? Geez I'm given away to many secrets. Oh My Hope this helps. Vince

Thanks for some of your speed secrets.I will take all I can get. I will check all that you mentioned. Thank You and good Luck tomorrow. I widened the 57 Chevy you have to make it more easier to slam it. Almost done with it them I'm going to cast it. You did a awesome job on that and Love the way it sits. Rick

Speed secrets are the best kind . Rick I am always glad to hear anything associated with you and casting! The '57 was my first HO custom I ever did and is one of my favorites of yours. It is currently being stripped down for a redo. I look forward to the casting(s).

4 Gear OUTLAW list races for 8/6/2017 First up Dave632 challenges ECBill for the #3 spot. The Camaro has found some extra power and has been tearing up the track but Bill and his Dodge want to put a stop to that. There is no holding back the Camaro this time as it runs it best time yet turning a .633 @ 22.50 over Bills slowing .787 @ 21.37. The Dodge came off the line softly but then started to haul but it was to late. Dave632 vs ECBill, times
Dave632 vs ECBill, finish
Hilltop customs and his Comp cams Camaro challenges KiwiDave and his T bird for the #6 spot. This was a good race but once again the Kiwi T bird pulls away from the Comp cams Camaro start to finish. The T bird ran a good .685 @ 19.65 while the Camaro was close behind running a .729 18.78
Kiwi Vs Hilltop, times
Kiwi Vs Hilltop, finish
Next up is a race I am looking forward to since both cars were running close times. Well it was close but I did not expect it to be this CLOSE..... This turned out to be the best race of the event. Kiwis T bird gets the hole shot but the Willys is not to be taken lightly. the T bird pulls away at the 330' and it looks like this race is over but the Willys starts to make a charge closing the gap at the 660 but still behind. The Willys continues to close the gap running a faster mph than the T bird. Both cars run their best times for the event and the win goes to>>>>>>>>>>>>
Lets look at the finish line to see who won???
Hairy canary vs KiwiDave, finish
Can't tell by that so we have to go to the times screen...........
Hairy canary vs KiwiDave, times
WOW...... KiwiDave wins this race by the smallest margin this setup can decide, .0001 or one ten thousandth. What a race, great show guys... The Willys has the quicker ET but the T bird had a quicker reaction time, just enough to decide the race by the slimmest of margins. Both cars are started at the same time, some cars just react better than others.
This super race ends the 4 gear outlaw runs for this event. Thank you everyone for participating in the 4GO class.
Next up is the PRO STOCK OUTLAW cars.

Pro Street Outlaw Sunday 8/6/2017. First up we have Schlesenerj with his Buick vs ECBill with his Vette. Bill takes the early lead but loses it by the 60'. Then takes it back by the 330 and holds to the 660 with the Buick catching and passing by a super close .001 at the finish. This was another super close great race. ECBill vs Schlesenerj, times
ECBill vs Schlesenerj, finish
Next challenge is JJWallace and his Mustang vs Nosubfor3 and his Corvette for the #2 position. This promises to be a good one as they are close in times.
This time the Vette holds back nothing taking the win with a PSO track record setting .578 24.61 over the strong run of the Mustang which ran .611 23.51. The Corvette is mad about losing it's #1 spot and is looking to get it back, we will soon see.
JJ vs Nosub, times
JJ vs Nosub, finish
Next up we have the KiwiDave Dodge Villain & Hilltop Customs Grady 55 Chevy rivalry. Grady is angry about losing to the Dodge and wants revenge. Kiwi has also been holding back Hilltops 4GO car which ran a better time and lost on a hole shot. Expected this one to be closer but Grady slowed some and lost this one to the Villain. The Dodge ran a .676 20.23 to the Chevys .708 19.71.
Villian vs Grady, times
Villian vs Grady, finish
This race will be the Buick Grand National against the 55 Chevy Grady for the #5 spot. Hilltop accepted this challenge even though he did not have to.
The Buick gets the win with its best run yet turning a .632 20.54 over the Chevys .689 19.88.
Hilltop vs Schlesenerj, times
Hilltop vs Schlesenerj, finish
Final race of this event will be the race for #1 in PSO. Nosubfor3 with his Vette blue silk vs Dave632 with his 57 Chevy Nomad the Rebel. This race was super close last time with the 57 taking a close win. The Corvette has since ran a quicker time taking the track record away from the Chevy.
As anticipated this one was close as expected with both cars running great. I had to rerun the race since the Vette got a red light on the first run messing up some of the readings, reason being that it was staged but it did not turn on the second stage light. I took a picture of both runs and the results were almost exactly the same both times. My son did a slo mo video of both runs which I will post at a later date if we can remember how to do that. A new track record was set again.
On the non red light race the 57 took the lead off the line but the Corvette caught up and took it back at the 60 and 330' marks. By the 660' the Nomad took the lead back and stretched it slightly to the finish. The Chevy ran .574 24.98 to the Corvette's .577 24.70 making an even closer race than the last one. Win margin was only .005The very slow reaction times were due to a slo mo camera wait time. Nosub vs D632, times
Nosub vs D632, finish
This was the red light run, as you can see it was even closer than the last run with an .002 margin. Nosub vs D632, red light timesCan't believe how close many of these racers were with one as close as .0001, wow that's close. That concludes this list race session, hope you all enjoyed the show and had a good time. Cars will be shipping back tomorrow or Tuesday since I will be leaving for a Vegas pool tournament on Friday. Thanks to all who participated, Dave.

Thank you Dave for running the races!! That was some great competition and blistering ET's. I thought it might be interesting to see the progression of this class since the start of the PSO list. ET's have improved drastically. I will post that info. later. Good luck in Vegas. Till next time.........see everybody at the line.

Here are some track record results from the last list races, I think these times might stand for awhile but this class has progressed fast so who knows.
JJ Wallace and his T bird Leihuas Rose set the 4GO ET record at .625 which I believe is about .04 faster than anyone has ever run in that class before. Dave 632 and his 57 Chevy Nomad Rebel set the PSO record at .573 which is about .01 faster than anyone has gone before in that class. Nosubs .577 has to be mentioned as it was a record set on the run before the very last race in PSO.
Still working on the slo mo video of that race.
