Voodoo will work best on the pancake arms, slight effect on the inlines. I have picked up performance some on just about every pancake chassis I have tried it on. Only lasts a short time however.

I am using Black Gold comm drops but have also used Voodoo. They seem comparable to each other. My experience has been that some cars respond better than others with both pancake and inline when I apply it to the comm. But I do get a noticeable performance improvement when I use on braids and sometimes even a bare pick up. I put a drop on each. On the bare pick up I spread the drop with my finger......Eagle Racing showed me that. It is possible to use too much and foul the brushes. I've seen that done as well.

I have heard of pancake chassis run with just springs onto the com plate? I've never tried it!? Anyone tested this?

Never tried the spring alone. Seems like it would have poor contact.

Does it damage the com plate?

I think it's possible if not done right. First issue is finding the right spring to start with. Ive been using sg+ pickup spring .I've found thier not all the same ,the way the ends are squared, the number of wraps, gauge of wire and the diameter. Once you picked your spring ,cut it to length and install.do not spin the wheels by hand run in on low volts, after thier run you should be able to spin wheels forward do not spin the wheels backwards ,the spring will snag the com . Oh ya this works best with supper 2 brush pocket installed. I put the cut end down .

The saga continues. Here I put some braid brush into the AFX car and it picked up about 6 mph. Every one of these cars that I tried this on lost some 60' time but picked up in speed. No comm damage so far and the Mustang hit its best et and mph ever hitting .36 & over 40 mph. T jet vs AFX
