Have not been to many drag races lately. My son wants to go to the Street outlaw event in Tennessee later this month. Unfortunately it conflicts with our Vegas pool tournament next week.

I had a 79 merc zephyr when I was in high school. The blown 302 got replaced with a 289 .put some of those three spoke metric wheels ford had ,duel thrush straight throughs, single plane 4,shorty headers of 5.0 mustang and a holley based ford carberator. Probably lucky to run 15-16 .traded that of and ended up with a 1970 torino 429 cobra ,4 speed car .wasn't looking at taillights as often with that car!!

My 68 Camaro w 632" ran mid 8s with 10.5Ws. Lots of trouble making a full pass without lifting at least once. The Pro Mod Beretta I had was a lot quicker and faster. It had 34.5x17" tires but it still skated around like a greased brick running only one of it's 3 N2O stages. 68 Camaro with big M 632

I've got a cousin who back in the late 60s - early '80s ran FEDs but got out of drag racing because of his business. . 3 years ago, he got back into it and is currently running a S/C RED.. Joliet, Indy, and Gateway is where he usually runs.

My friend/co-worker Tom, in the blue Ford pictured above, is officially in 4th out of 55 in the Street Race Small Block PA class with a best run of 8.532 @ 165.07. He ran an 8.52 this morning so not know what the others ran, I will have to wait till Hot Rod posts today's results this evening. Go Tom!!!
