Bill looks like you got that air brush figured out. They all look Beautiful but like Dave said that Vette is stunning. Love that blue. That body looks awesome on that Jag chassis. Nice choice on those wheels. Mine is on a super G+ and the tires stick out to far. I narrowed some wheels and tires but had some issues with them and ran out of time so I put the fat ones back on. Nice work Bill.

Rick Rick, You did a heck of a job casting that body. Thanks for blessing me with it. Really wanted to do something special with it. The cars you sent in a awesome. The Cuda and Camaro are beauties. The historical perspective of the Vette makes it extra special. Always enjoy your memories of racing's history. Thanks, Bill

Appreciate the tips and video links guys! 1st air brush paint job was the Sanford and Son truck, sprayed with Testors Aztek water based paint. Finish has a low luster gloss. The original Sanford truck had no gloss, so that's ok. 2nd successful job was the 56 Sedan Delivery, painted with lacquer auto touch up paint. Polished it to a nice gloss but it looked bland on the chassis with black wheels. Added light blue flames to spice it up a little then clear coated. #3 was the 62 Vette , once again using Aztek water based paint. Finish looks a lot like an automotive base coat. Masked it to paint the coves but the paint pealed of with the tape. Stripped it and started over. This time, clear coated it and made decals for the coves. Bill I know this is an older post, but I was reading through this thread and thought about this. The blue Corvette that you sent here and to Dave's......what paint did you use and what is that particular color. That is a beautiful car and you did a fantastic job on the paint. Been meaning to ask and keep forgetting. You have sent several Vettes so I'm not sure if it is the #3 Vette you are referring to in the quote.

Jeff,
The blue 62 Vette is painted with Testors Aztek airbrush paint. Color is Blue Pearl. TCGlobal sells it on eBay.
I really like that color too. You'll be seeing more of that color from the SC body shop.

Yours is one of them and the blue on the Thunderbolt I just did. That one is China Glaze Frostbite lacquer. With a white or silver basecoat it almost glows.

Testors also has pearl green, purple and copper that look promising. I already looked the blue up on TCGlobal on EBay and saw the other colors. Will be making an order in the next few days. Thanks.

Testors also has pearl green, purple and copper that look promising. I have so much paint, but I can't pass these up! I think I'm addicted to paint . Looks like I'm going to go with the blue, green, and orange. That orange looks like it will POP.

Guessing the orange you are referring to is the fluorescent. So far, I haven't had satisfactory results with Aztek fluorescents. Maybe just me. Tried purple and pink. Both seemed too thin and had poor coverage.
If you try it, I'll be curious to see what kind of results you are able to get.

They threw it in the search with the pearls and I thought it was one of them. I'm not interested in the flourescents either. Thanks for pointing that out. I would have realized it when I ordered. Dang it....I wanted that one. Oh well....I will get the red pearl instead.
