ALL RACERS
The 2019 NTRA Texas Nationals is still about 1 1/2 months away so there is still plenty of time for building and tuning. With that in mind, I have decided to open the race up to some.........
MATCH RACING!!
Let's say you have a build that doesn't get to run very often and you would like to see how it stands up to some competition. Throw out a Challenge and I will add you to the Match Race List on the Sign Up page. If someone accepts the Challenge then I will run a best 2 out of 3 races to determine the winner. Or let's say another racer barely edged you out in a previous event and you are looking for a little redemption. Throw out a Challenge to that racer and let's get it on!! We have fun with these Match races at Bear Creek and they add another element of excitement to the Class and List racing! So think about it and get those challenges posted and I will get them on the Match race list. Due to time, I will only be able to run a certain number of races. So the sooner the Challenges are posted the better. *State what the chassis build is and the voltage it needs to run at.*
** Match Race List has been added to the Sign Up page**

I am not racing any cars in the Class racing for this event so I have put the first Match race challenge out there with the Twisted Texan Pinto. The Pinto holds the track record for 4g Stock.......but don't let that scare anybody away ! All in fun guys! That's what the Match racing is about....a little smack talk and some fun races. I will build it up on the commentary.

Hi JJ, four gear no traction magnets? If so, I'll take the challenge.

Hi JJ, four gear no traction magnets? If so, I'll take the challenge. OK here's the deal. I would prefer to run with traction magnets. The Pinto has traction magnets. It being my fastest car in the Class, I don't want to go messing with it too much. Both of my 4 gear Stock cars are AFX chassis and the traction magnets are glued on. Otherwise I would have no problem popping the magnets out and running you without. What do you say....can you add magnets to yours?

I have a 2.5 Viper I could send in for that. Prefer not to run much over 20 volts, my astronaut license expired

Thinking I'll send a pancake car with a Super II chassis, mean green arm and Dash compression molded magnets. It's only marginally faster than the car I sent to GTS. No where near as fast as Dave's cars.
Sending for 2 reasons: 1. To match race 2. To give you a chance too examine the magnets for possible approval.

So it is basically a Pancake Comp build? What voltage do you want to run at? That is a race that will get picked up for sure. I look forward to seeing the car.

Forgot the voltage 20v sounds good. If we get more that one taker, would a round robin be OK? Bill

Bill I think I would just run separate Matches with each car against yours. That's how I've done it in the past. If that sounds ok to you.
