Here are a couple of shots of my actual car for comparison. The rear wing was a lot smaller than todays Pro Mods. I also like that look a lot better. The big hood scoop made it tough to see the tree when you staged in the left lane. I could only see the top yellow which is what I would go on with the .400 tree. Beretta leaving line

Here is the comparison between the cast metal Beretta and my version. Like Jeff said it is very narrow. A Jag DR chassis might squeeze in however. It is also long with the wheelbase measuring 1 15/16". The DR chassis at it longest chassis length will make it that far. Metal and my version of Beretta

Here's the Beretta that I cast from the Muscle Machine Bill mentioned. It's in 3 pieces and it's a very narrow body. Like Bill said all of the other Muscle Machine Pro Mod Nitro Coupes are wide but not this one. The wheel base is to long on this one and if I remember right the others are too. I cast this over a year ago and was going to widen it and shorten the wheel base and do a couple different versions but manley like Dave's more of a Pro Stock look. I don't care for the funny car spoiler to much. Jeff if you want what I've cast to modify I think I have a coupe cast up you can play with. I also have the WJ Olds you was wanting. You can have that to. I have about every drag related 1/64 diecast ? I have 1,000's of die cast. I'm always looking for that one I don't have yet. Jeff there yours plus The Roy Hill Probe, Allen Johnson Avenger and Eckman Firebird if you want them ? These all fit the 4 Gear chassis almost perfect. These are all on my to-do list some day ? Here are are a few that I could dig up easily. Should be a few more. Wheelbase looks to be about 1.75". Last pic insists on being upside down even though not that way in the file. Don't seem to have any more of the Lifelike HO slot car Cutlasses. Those would have the width needed. I believe Harden Creek has some new ones. Bill are those different versions of the same body? It looks like it to me, but I wanted to make sure. That looks like a good foundation for a Cutlass build. It looks like the headlights have been filled in. Is that accurate? Rick is sending me the actual WJ Cutlass version in die cast so let me see what it looks like before we go any further. Thank you for the offer! I have been wanting to do that one for awhile now. I haven't looked super hard for the car, but I look everytime I get a chance and that is one that I never see.

Jeff,
The 3 Cutlasses in the pics are all the same body with different paint jobs. It looks like the headlights are there but not very prominent. I may have a few others by different manufacturers.
Rick's WJ Olds is sweet looking. Action makes some top notch die casts. You'll probably be impressed with it.
We'll give you several options to choose from. Pick whichever one you think will deliver the best results.

I know you guys have a lot of cars collected and I think it is cool and generous that you offer up something from your collection. Thank you very much.

Thanks for the visual Dave. I should be getting mine Monday so I will be able to see for myself. That body looks like it would be fairly easy to widen. A lot of times I will widen from the windshield back and leave the front end alone. Several of my cars I have done this way. It isn't easily detected either....kinda fits with the way cars are done these days. Rick is sending me his casting of the body so that will save me a bunch of time since I won't have to make a mold of it first. I can just work with the resin version he is sending. I'm looking forward to it.

Warren Johnson's G-Body Cutlass would make a nice slot car too!

Beretta at SunshineI know you've posted several pics of the car over the years. I couldn't see these very well, but I was able to go back and find a good one to look at closely. Your Beretta is a great pattern for the look I am going for. I will change a few subtle things and will have the option of scoop, blower, or turbo.

The original scoop on the car was like the one on the HO car. I had to change to the bigger one when I switched to the 632 and the original was to low for the carbs to fit under.
