Welcome to the race Rick, good luck! I will have to do some research to see what the past winners were running. I will most likely also put a link so you can look at the qualifying times and see what the winners were running. See: nitroslots.com/thread/4729/smoky-mountain-fall-nationals-thread19 entries already, this should be a big race.

Super Stocks ran high 4s to low 5s Pro modS or 2.5 ran low to mid 4s. Unlimiteds were all in the low to high .2s

Dave, in reference to my question in this post here: to be more specific, will the Eagle Carbon Fiber chassis with the N30 6 ohm motor be allowed in the "Inline Super Stock" class? I bought one last year and thought this might be a chance to race it, is all. Not a big deal either way. Thanks!

Welcome to the race Jeff, good luck.
Gale, yes the Eagle chassis will be allowed in Super Stock as long as it has a 6 ohm in it and meets weight requirements. It would not be allowed in stock since it has movable traction magnets.

Dave, I see some C-4 poly magnets listed as same strength of ceramic magnets. will you allow these in the stock ceramic class?

Al as long as the strength readings are the same it would be OK. I have a gauss meter and can check them. I have had stock readings for ceramic magnets all the way from a pathetic 300 to as high as 1100 gauss. That would be the range they would have to fall in. I would have to limit the stockers to 1100 as I have found most Poly's start above that and go up from there. I thought a C-4 rating was for ceramic but I don't know how any of the manufacturers rate their magnets. I have seen some crazy Poly magnets that read in the 2500 range and Neos that read in the 4500s. A lot of racers think that if they put those Neos in their stocker it will run great but actually it completely kills the performance. The only cars I have found that can use a Neo motor magnet are the ones that are running arms well under 1 ohm.

Not sure if any HO car is offered with ceramics without asking for them anymore. The gauss reading for c-4 pretty much meets with ceramic readings for that manufacture and shape magnet. The poly magnet should have better performance. The available magnetic field tends be evenly dispersed across the surface. Ceramics not so much. For that reason the poly magnet will be more efficient, in theory.
