OH OH, looks like Christine has snuck in with Dyno Mikes cars!! Watch out. In 1965 i had a 64 comet that i raced and my tow car was a 1957 plymouth 4 door sedan. Under the hood was a 318 with 2 carter wcfb carbs. My tow car was faster than my race car. Christine is a 58 but has the same motor option.

There were surely some days when my tow car ran better than my race car. I think the 58 Plymouth Fury was a great looking car but I don't remember seeing many at the drag strip. The only car I remember from that long ago was a black 57 Chevy model 150 with the 270 hp 283. He was the terror of the town back in the early 60s. I put together a 55 Chevy with a 327 4 speed and 2 4s around 1965 which was also a holy terror back then, had not seen the 57 around by then. The 413 Plymouth with the cross ram, especially the ones with the automatic, came out then and gave a lot of Chevy's a hard time, Lots of fond memories from those early days.

I was wondering if you have named a favorite car entered in the up coming race at Pink's. I used parts from a 25 year old club racer Tyco that had the name "The Dawg". Why the Dawg? Because she's a runner and will Hunt you down. LOL! Just sharing some 25 year old trash talk with ya. We laughed running cars into the wee hours, Good times. Ya so any names? and tell how in it came to be.

I don't have any names, but the Camaro, Corvette, and Pantera bodies that I am running on my 3 gear and Inline cars are ones I had when I was a pre teen kid. I still have most of my stuff

Since car names were mentioned I had a funny one on the side of a C gas full size 55 Chevy I had. Called it the "Quack" and it held a couple of class records at local tracks. No particular reason for naming it that, just to be funny. It also had a Duck painted on the side. Funny coincidence happened with that as my wife was working in NYC way back then and she was talking with a co worker who said they used to like to go to the drag strip and watch the car with the Duck on the side race.
