How much is the entry fee? good question. I should think $8.00 would cover return shipping. so, ..... I will say that $8.00 is the sign up/return shipping fee. $8.00 per racer. Yes $8 is the standard entry/return ship fee for our races these days. If someone wants added insurance they should include more $$ for that. $8 gets priority shipping with $50 insurance.

Alpink, I'm curious if you have any competitive times turned, for the upcoming classes, that you would be willing to post for your 1/8 mile track. Not necessarily records held, just some ballpark times. Thanks!

To who ever has the answer, Got a couple questions concerning no chassie modifications...
Can I drill small holes in the back of the chassie to stick brass rod in , to make my willie bars?
Are we allowed any sanding on the chassie? Such as bottoms of chassis for wheel clearance, or an autoworld super lll traction magnet pocket so the crown gear doesn't rub. Ultra g tjet that has to long of a traction magnet pocket that hags past the magnet and drags along the track lol. Sam/Skillet

Sam/Skillet Concerning the wheelie bars: in the past it has been allowed to drill the 2 holes required to attach, but as always, the Racemaster would have the final say.

I think the rules are pretty clear. I will defer to those racemasters who recently ran these classes for specifics please. I think some holes for wheelie bars would be OK. let's please, hear from some of the members that have run many more races than I have.

The rules state "No Chassis Modifications, except removing ears off of AFX type chassis for body mounting" for stock pancake. For stock inlines it says "No Chassis Modifications". Drilling... is that a modification? For us new to this it would help (how you can mount wheelie bars) if this is spelled out. I understand the KISS principle.

Therefore simple mounting methods may be used to install them. The drilling of holes for that is allowed. No other modifications are allowed as per the NTRA rules (sanding, cutting, filing, drilling, etc).

I believe it is in Tech Tips section at the bottom of the main page. If not I can show some pics of what I have done in the past.

Those of us who have run many races allow holes drilled in chassis for wheelie bar mounting. We also allowed dropping the traction magnets on those chassis that had excessive magnet ground clearance. The rule is mainly there to stop cutting the chassis with extensive chassis lightning. For example swiss cheesing the chassis or grinding a lot off areas to lighten them up which in my opinion is a WASTE OF TIME anyway. It also weakens the chassis and makes it more flexible which is usually a detriment as in most cases a stiff chassis is better. I gram more or less does nothing and may even hurt performance. I have found that weight in the right place can help more than hurt most or the time.

Guys thanks for the clarification. The answer seems obvious but I didn't think it would hurt to ask. Having run under different rule sets in the last 25+ years... it's better to ask than assume.
