OK, I need to clear the air a little bit here. I never claimed to have gone 74 MPH with a t-jet. never, no how, ever. Jim Sgrignioli has been well over 70 MPH with outlaw t-jets and I owned (still do) his version of outlaw t-jets. furthermore, Allen Galinko never beat Sgrig head to head in outlaw t-jet. now, while Allen was at it before Sgrig was, Jim brought many inovations, like the wet comm set up, to outlaw t-jets. finally I am not very interested in MPH or drama. usually Elapsed Time wins the race in combination with a good Reaction Time. MPH is a good indicator of certain performance parameters and is generally the tie breaker in a pass where two cars have identical Elapsed Times. I also agree with what you are saying here Al. I use the MPH as a tuning tool but am way more interested in my ET. I have seen a couple of Outlaw Tjets run on a sectioned track before. Something about a super fast pancake is very impressive. I like the Inlines but Pancakes is where it's at with me....with buttery syrup !

Took me awhile to get thru to you about ET Mike. Speed is still looked on with awe by many. Look at the current race for full size Super Cars to reach the 300 MPH range. Those cars cost millions and I remember many years ago a street style Pontiac Firebird with only minor streamlining a Chevy small block and twin Turbos hit 300 MPH and I am sure it did not cost anywhere near what so of those weird looking super expensive creations cost. I have personally won many drag races where I had the lower MPH vs my opponent both in full and HO scale size. I also have no problem racing some unlimited T jets/AFX 3 or 4 gears. The T jets are a little more hardy since they have all brass gears except for the crown. The pancake arms will take a lot more gaff than the inlines as the stock comm will handle it and they are easy to rewind compared to the inlines. Here is my proposition for the next event for all us speed nuts. T jet, AFX 3 or 4 gear Unlimited running at 30 volts and 30 amps per lane in my case. We should surely see some blown up motors there. I think we should see some 50 MPH speeds and ETs well down in the .3s. All providing we can get the crown gears we need.

I like them all ,but thinking since Jeff got us on the 4gear kick maybe run with it. We can always use the 20t crown gear for those. The unlimited i built i had a 23 or 24t because its all I had at the time. It can be frustrating building one but the fun and excitement just seeing it run is worth it.
Cars made it back. Humgrin wagon is killer. Already planning out a paint job. Sam/Skillet

My cars arrived home today. Thank You again Dave and to all the sponsors. Thought I would add my 2cents on the MPH stuffđ In the big cars big MPH always meant you was making horsepower and it was very impressive. But it didnât win races if you didnât have a ET to go with it. I kind of brought that same thought with running these stubborn little cars. I use it as a tuning reference. I watch if the MPH falls off or isnât what I think it should be then I try to figure why it fell off or improve it and it does help your ET sometimes. To me itâs still impressive to see someoneâs car run that big MPH compared to what the other cars are running, but it still wonât win races. And the pancake unlimitedâs I agree with what Dave said.

Finistauri that crown gear has to be a 15 tooth AFX style to work. We can shim it to fit a T jet or AFX where necessary. It will be interesting to see all the innovation that will take place to make the little monsters run and still live.

I don't expect other Racemaster to run them but they have a future at Bear Creek Dragway. I have yet to build an Unlimited 3 gear or Tjet but I have been wanting to for a long time! I have the gears for it now and have a Tjet started. So I'm looking forward to what you have planned Dave!

Hairy Canary, Rick, is missing his Pro Mod 69ish Corvette silver with a black stripe. See page 1 of the race report in the Pro Mod section for a picture. I probably packed it in the wrong package. If you get it let me know and I will take care of shipping cost to send it to Rick.

My cars seem to be wandering around in the netherworld of the USPS. According to tracking they have been in Greenville SC since Thursday. Guess they're playing NASCAR doing laps around the carousel. Hopefully I'll find an extra Vette in my box which will be promptly returned to Rick.

Did you check with the bazooka boys to make sure they aren't out joy riding? Wonder if the new track mascot might know anything about it? After hosting a live oval track race in the basement of my old house and found a Super II car stuck to the side of the washing machine. Asked all of the participants, but nobody claimed it.

Gale 2021 will see Raceway Park NJ come to life. Its a scale 1/4 mile with the trackmate timing. If I am able to host a race the first one would be more or less a test and tune. For me and the racers. Something like a send a car and I will send her down the track. It will give everyone a look at track and performance. I will be sure to keep everyone posted.

Thank you very much Pete, for the update! I'm going to go ahead and proceed with trying to confirm a date in January. Hopefully it won't interfere with your plans for "test & tune". Glad you are getting close to hosting and can't wait to send some cars . And, yes, please keep us aware of your progress! Thanks again !!

Bill I looked in the woods and found there are now 2 Bazooka boys there. One of our kind racers sent in another one... But no Corvette.
Pete glad to hear you are building a track. Remember to start small and keep us informed on the progress.
