Okay, I'm confused. I read the rules as the Kiwi Challenge being 4gear stock which I interpreted being 21 grams minimum. Please clarify and thanks. I apologize for the confusion since I did not post specific body/weight rules. I only posted the build rules along with the link to all of the rules. Nobody needs to worry about it if the cars are not right on. I will do what is needed to make them right if I see the need. So don't go tearing anything apart at this point. Gale I'm posting the body rules below. Normally the Kiwi Races/Challenges run 4g Stock Nostalgia Funny Car. Kiwidave posted that they allow any body as long as it is a Street/Strip type car. I am quoting the body rules from NFC which is a Stock 4g build and it is 25g. All but Modern Funny car on the 4g builds are 25g and it really should be too. I do not know why it is not. The 21g minimum I think you are looking at are Tjet or 3g builds. The weight limits that we have always run allow for aftermarket custom bodies to be used which are typically heavier than a factory body. A stock 4g chassis with a Robert Height funny car body weighs in at 23.5g.
Thanks for the clarification Jeff, makes sense to me now . Sorry about my confusion. Not a big deal on this end other than I had spent an hour grinding out a gram and a half out of the Mustang , only to wind up adding it back on . My other Kiwi Challenger weighs in at 24.9 so that's an easy fix also.
Thanks again!

Jeff I love that Camaro funny car . I have one of those bodies on my bench at the moment along with the Nova Wagon that Gale cast. I must get them both completed. I am amazed at some of the decals you guys come up with. Do you make them yourself? Thank you Clive. I made the Hooters decals but the sponsor decals are Road Race Replica. I'm not happy with the quality of the decals on the car but my inkjet will only get so much detail. I use a Canon MX922 which I am really happy with though. They look ok until you zoom in on them. Clear paper decals on a white car always have sharp detail and a very clean look.

While testing and tuning for the race, I pulled out 2 poly mag Tjets with Dash “5 ohm” arms.
The 4 Lam measured 4.2 ohms ran a best time of .724 at 24v The 3 Lam Measured 4 ohms ran a best of .692 at 24v
For comparison: PSO Steeler, MT with a mean green and ceramic magnets ran .613 at 24v New Super Comp AFX with mean green 5.7 to 5.8 ohms and poly magnets ran .558 at 24v
All cars tuned by the same person using roughly the equipment makes for a pretty good comparison. The Steeler car is mid pack in PSO so it’s not like the numbers were from a freaky fast car like Dave’s rebel Nomad.

On 1st print, ink bled, when clear was applied. Bought new clear paper at Hobby Lobby. The ink beaded up on that. Used white paper on 3rd try. Sprayed several mist coats of clear. So far it looks ok. Not sure if problem is ink or paper, but suspect it’s the ink. Ink is Sams members mark. Decal paper is HL brand. Printer is photo quality, HP inkjet. Wont buy MM print cartridges anymore.

****RACE UPDATE****
Nothing new to post.....just a reminder to mail early!! Race starts in 10 days counting today so everybody should be looking to get their cars in the mail by the end of the week to be safe. Qualifying begins Thursday March 25 bright and early. Soooooo don't be late please. The pits will start filling up quick in the next few days and I will start unpacking cars towards the end of this week and getting everything organized. It's going to be good guys and gals! I'm getting excited! The weather is projected to be cloudy/rainy with moderate temperatures and high humidity. Should be fairly comfortable in Race Central.........the garage:D . Track tuning, prep, and testing will be taking place this week while I run my KC and Unlimited cars.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! To everyone that has entered the race and to those that have sent sponsor give aways!!

I have 2 cars that are going to Jeff's race for Super Comp. The blue 57 Vette has Poly's/mean green and it is running similar to yours at about .550 @ 24 volts. The Rebel 57 Nomad is quicker and faster with ceramic magnets but it always was a crazy fast car for what it was. Coming out of retirement to see if it can win in a higher class.

I have noticed a difference between Canon ink and the type I am using now. But it is expensive! What I am using now works ok but does tend to puddle or bead up when I using higher quality print settings. Try just printing with standard quality and see if that is any better. The ink doesn't seem to have time to set on the decal paper.

OK I've been kind of quiet up to this point, but I am starting to turn my focus more to the race as we get closer. I thought this would fill some of the gap through the next week or so. We are going to play three rounds of Guess the ET. I have 3 Yenko Chevelle Tjet bodies to give away to the closest guess....one for each round. These bodies were purchased without grill, rear bumper, and windshield. I cast those then painted and installed them. The red body needs a clearcoat due to the sanded windshield. I will do that this week so it has plenty of time to cure.
Now that you've seen the prizes let's check out the first car up. This is the TJ's Body Shop 4g Super Comp wedge dragster (mean green, poly mags, 2 traction mags, braids, shunts, 18t crown, .590 silli foam rear tires, Wizzard E81 brushes). The car will run at 24v on the relay.
I will post the ET at 5pm Thursday afternoon.
