I have an AW 50's & fins 57 Chevy Bel Air and I would like to get taller tires for the rear (width is ok) How do I go about figuring out what I need? Going to be used on 1/8 mile. Are all axles the same size? Will any rim fit? So many questions and I am not sure what the questions are I need to ask.

Hello LHP, T-jet wheels are a bit small in diameter. Vincent wheels will allow more tire options, and look much better at the same time. It takes a bit of time to figure out the best set of wheels for each car. But that's half the fun. The tires are silicone Super Tires. They come in many sizes. jaghobbies.com/ho_slot_cars/parts_vincent.htmwww.franktheracer.com/about.htmlKen Attachments:

Aurora, Auto World (Johnny Lightning/Polar Lights) and TOMY have .062 diameter axles. most of the other brands have .059 diameter axles. this can make a difference if you try to put wheels with the smaller hole on the "fatter" axles. there are many options for tires available, www.thhop.com/silicone_tires.htmis one of the options, tell them alpink sent you. there are many others as well

Those rims look great. My question is how true do they run? Are they machined or injected molded?
Thanks

Plastic wheels for $2 a pair are usually injection molded. How well they are installed on the axle is often deciding factor on if they run true or not.
Pro Track machined aluminum mag wheels are around $15 a pair. Plain aluminum AJ's wheels are about $5 a pair. Machining is expensive.

Dash wheels are almost certainly injection molded.

Depends on who are talking to. With kids, maybe = promise. Almost certainly leaves a little room for doubt.
