Clive's cars arrived today safe and sound. All looks ok. I will be giving them a once over before forwarding to Dave. Thanks to Vince aka Nosubfor3 for his help!
That Nomad doesn’t look knackered 😎

She's a beauty for top to bottom. Haven't seen the magnet but I will look for it now. Magnets typically don't go very far. Thanks for posting.

Do you think that magnet may have had anything to do with a certain rolling Rolls?

Do you think that magnet may have had anything to do with a certain rolling Rolls? probably not. remember the unlimiteds were not qualified. I think the Rolls and Skillet's car were the first two in that class. most likely the Rolls just hooked a tire on chassis or body, very close tolerances there. I will make appropriate adjustments.

The track was clear when that occured.

I wanted to apologize to EcBill, I didn't realize I won his beautiful 57 Nomad, I got my cars back and just opened the box to make sure my cars were ok and never took anything out of the box until last night, Thanks man for building a truly amazing looking car, I will have to put a powerplant worthy up under it.

Your quite welcome! Was wondering who got that body. You’ll surely put a worthy chassis under it. It was made to be raced. Looking forward to seeing it blazing down the track. Well, it’ll probably have to be in slo-mo for me to actually see it. Some of the guys who were looking at my cars at the Cleveland show, said they would be afraid to race them, because they would just tear them up. They’re not made to be shelf queens.

I plan on racing it, I don't have any shelf queens, just have to decide what class, Comp, super comp, stock or a full blown Unlimited, either way it will be one good looking entry. Thanks again.

Been curious about some of the rear tires that some of you are using. They look a lot like the Viper tires for the cnc aluminum wheels, but the Viper tires I bought fit so loosely that they wouldn't even stay on a bone stock, 16-ohm car running at 12v.

The tires shown on my chassis were Super Tire .490s stretched onto the large 4G rim. They were changed to .510 silifoams so that they would not fly off the rim, which they hadn't.

I run slip-on tires on all my pancake cars, I still haven't seen an advantage with the silifoams as I lose et and mph with them, but it could just be getting the right compound of foam to work with my setup and maybe I will see some extra gains on my unlimited cars like others which would be nice. I use VersaChem Mega Black to glue my slip-on tires to the wheels, it works really well so far up to 60 mph.
