Bill, I melted one of the shoe hanger rivet holes in the chassis while installing the shunts. Not enough material left for another rivet. I tried. I'll be throwing a hail Mary repair at it, but it won't be ready for the Summer Slam. I have another A-dash chassis, so I'll just start over on the tub mods. Gear plate should be good to go, so it will transfer over to the other tub. The fun never ends...
If the hail Mary works I'll have to see if it will still qualify for comp or super comp class rules. The stampings will be the same, but the fastening of it will be modified. If it works. As they used to say on the evening news, "Film at 11".

I wasn't able to get a full field put together but was able to get 2 comp 2 4 gear and a tin top in the mail today

I apologize everyone I've been extremely busy lately. The show is still going on strong. I have a few vacation days from work and Eric has volunteered to come up and help out.
To my surprise Comet came in the door number 11 lol...

Time trial and grudge racing seems to be the way to get the new people. They are not so nervous about building for a class. We can ease them into things once they see how it works and get over the initial fear of just mailing a car.
I'm guessing we may hit 50 racers.
We're over 100 cars already.
Sponsorship has been incredible to us this year. From racers sending in prizes to the company's, THEN the most incredible thing I have seen...
A nonracer no slot cars no parts and no business to sell us anything. Came to me , says I love those videos I'd like to donate to the next race and sponsored us with some coin for the race. I will use it towards racer prizes and decorations for the track for the video. A big thank you goes out to Juan Mendez. That's the acts of kindness that brings tears to my eyes.

It's the same Dave. Pretty much used our rules then added classes to what they already have on Facebook. Makes the bridge easier to cross when they can race something they are familiar with. Going either way really. If we see what they race on Facebook it's definitely easier to join those as well.
