Looking like the Steeler won't make it to the PSO race.
In a practice run, it was racing in a dead heat with the former STR Challenger when something violent happened. It left the track, hit the door and has never been seen since. Search party could find no trace of it. 2 silicone tires were located but they don't appear to have been from this car. No pieces or parts have been located.
It had run a .572 after a gear change in a previous run. Don't know what sort of MPH that might be, it was coming on strong at the finish line. Probably not enough to hit 88.8 and go back to the future.
A replacement Steeler body has been ordered. Doubtful it will get here in time to make to Texas.

I've had a few vacuum moments of rattle rattle click click and its what was that? LOL!!! A whole body is a good shot LOL I was cleaning a set of magnets with compressed air when they flew from my hands, I found them a month later. I was watching football when it came to me to look on the chair its self. There they were stuck on the legs of the chair. Every time I moved the chair to look on the floor they were hiding LOL

Could just slap another AP Vette body on it and go racing. Taking the magnets into account I’ve searched everywhere, including every metal surface that it might stick to. Wasted enough time hunting for it. It’s going to just have to make an appearance like your magnets did.

Jeff High Roller 3G Outlaw am I still in the Shark 🦈 Pool ? Hello Carla. I have not started unpacking cars yet. You did not list a Shark Pool car when you signed up so I did not know to put it in the Pool yet. No worries.....every car will find it's place once I start unpacking everything. Thank you.

I have had many a part disappear over the years, but never a full car! Poltergeists? My wife gave me a glimmer of hope. When I told her that I ordered a replacement body, she said “that means you’ll find the old one.” For years I’ve had the theory that the best way to find a missing tool is to buy a replacement. The missing item usually shows up shortly afterwards. Hope it works for slot cars too!

I see what you did there Bill, smooth. Im gonna remember that one when I get married. I have a request. I wanted to name my 3 list car. I saved the body from a horrible super glue tragedy during a minor exhaust modification. I was trying to man it up bit as I thought it didn't look race E enough and put the car down into the puddle of glue. If you look you can see it. That body sat for over a year before I could look at again. Almost hit the trash bin twice. I named the car My Wife's Mustang, she would have chosen the the white and red over a double black Shelby. So between memories of the ex-wife and gobs of glue, both disappointments , MY 3gear List Car My Wife's Mustang took on a life beyond the shelf. I told ya that part, to tell ya this part. No longer do I gaze with disappointment towards my Mustang, Ive grown fond of the gal again. From now on Im calling her "My Old Ladies Mustang" I can't believe Im in a relationship again LOL!!!
