Here we are.....two cars left. Top two of the Field all weekend. Gnome definitely has the stronger car up to this point. Dave is close enough to get by if there are any hiccups out of the Cuda. The Cuda has won all of it's races today in the first 60' It blitzes off the line. Let' see what's up.......

Gnome Cuda Funny Car vs Dave632 '57 Vette
Finals Gnome vs Dave632 Gnome lights it up with another sub .8 pass to win by several car lengths. Dave's Vette picked a bad time to slow down, but still made a very strong pass and was top of the list all day! The Cuda gets a 1/100th advantage in the first 60' and there ain't no makin' that up on that car. Well deserved win! .7971et to .8485et |

Congrats on the win, Jeff/Gnome. I did notice that my Monza slowed down some in Texas. I was seeing .634-.641's at 13.9x-14.0x MPH in the 660 here. I only have a scale 1/8, so the 660 time is what I use for comparisons. Now, let's see some 4-gear action!

Round 1 Race 1 Mazda #14 vs Crossfire #23 This one looks close on paper but the Coronet slows for Qualifying and the Ghost Buster Caddy picks it up. Crossfire will move on 1.1273et to 1.2024et
Round 1 Race 2 Gnome #31 vs Comet #11 The Ford truck gets the holeshot and holds the lead to about the 330' that's when the Mystery Machine starts eating Scooby Snacks and drives around to turn on the win light. Gnome 1.0744et to 1.2237et
Round 1 Race 3 Kstocks #19 vs RPowell #24 Both cars run close to their Qualifying number. The NTB Pontiac leads from start to finish and puts the sweet little Ford pick up on the trailer. Kstocks moves ahead 1.0816et to 1.3400et
Round 1 Race 4 Finistauri #2 vs RPowell #25 The #4 Qualifier Grand Prix will easily take the win today. RPowell found some serious power in the pits and dramatically improved but it will be Finistauri that moves on .9767et to 1.4965et
Round 1 Race 5 Cozwurth #8 vs Kstocks #20 The Vega gets out 3 car lengths at the hit and holds the lead all the way through the traps. Cozwurth sends Kstocks home. 1.0918et to 1.2072et
Round 1 Race 6 Weissach #16 vs Dave632 #13 Beretta is late getting off the line and tries to come back late, but the FOL Mustang is too far ahead and hits the line first. Weissach 1.1015et to 1.1451et
Round 1 Race 7 Steve E-D #21 vs Smokinvinnie #28 This one looks pretty straight forward on paper but Vinnie might have something to say about that and runs his best ET of the race. It's still not enough to take down the the #5 Qualifier Red Zepplin. The Tiger has been tamed. 1.0002et to 1.5052et

Round 1 Race 8 Pennywize619 #6 vs Carla60 #27 This was a good race. Cars were tied to the 330' and the VW Bus pulls out 2 car lengths in the last half of the track. Carla60's Ford is going on the trailer. They can now focus on their #1 Qualified car. Pennywize moves on 1.1177et to 1.1618et
Round 1 Race 9 Dave632 #12 vs TheJet #29 The Summit Camaro leads at every interval and moves to Round 2. TheJet ran solid but is going home 1.0879et to 1.2556et
Round 1 Race 10 Gnome #30 vs Finistauri #1 Gnome takes the win easily as the Lead Sled might be burning itself up. There is a distinct electrical smell in the air. 1.0414et vs 1.5273et
Round 1 Race 11 Comet #10 vs Gramps #9 Comet picks it up and the Morley Racing car slows giving the dragster the win. Comet 1.0890et to 1.2118et
Round 1 Race 12 Crossfire #22 vs Eagle Racing#18 Eagle's Camaro is a Nitroslots road warrior from way back. Good to see it racing again. The Impala improves his time and will send Eagle back to the pits and move to Round 2. 1.0240et to 1.2021et
Round 1 Race 13 Pennywize619 #7 vs Mazda #15 Impala is starting and stopping and won't get down the track and stops short of the finish line. The Blazer blazes into the 2nd Round .9932et to DNF

The ladders that I use offer a numbered version that numbers each race which is the one I use. But this ladder Round 2 races jump all over the place. I changed the numbers and am running straight down the left side and then the right side like the others on the ladder. I don't know why they changed it for Round 2?? Anyway......left side then right side.
Round 2 Race 14 Carla60 #26 vs Crossfire #23 This one was a little one sided. The Grand Prix is running on mean today and busts the Ghost Busters. They are going home. Carla60 .9320et to 1.3112et
Round 2 Race 15 Gnome #31 vs Kstocks #19 This was a good race. Gnome falls behind off the line and starts rolling at the top end but the Nitro Fish Pontiac built up too much lead and holds him off. Kstocks 1.0859et to 1.1085et
Round 2 Race 16 Finistauri #2 vs Cozwurth #8 Both cars ran their number. Cozwurth gets the holeshot and jumps out to the early lead but Finistauri drives around the Vega for the win. There is some serious gear noise with the Grand Prix at the hit. .9830et to 1.0981et
Round 2 Race 17 Weissach #16 vs Steve E-D #21 Cuda was already the faster car and then runs his best ET to turn on the win light. Weissach ran strong all day but was a little slower than Steve on this race day. .9822et to 1.0964et
Round 2 Race 18 Ecbill #4 vs Pennywize619 #6 Pennywize wanted this bad and runs his best ET of the event. The Nitro Elephant Cuda slowed way down but it is still enough to get the job done. Did the car just sit too long or is there a problem. The crew will have to check it out. Ecbill 1.0258et to 1.1065et
Round 2 Race 19 Dave632 #12 vs Gnome #30 This was a great race! Both cars leave together and are tethered all the way till the Charger pulls out 2 lengths in the traps and snatches the win. 1.0287et to 1.0742et
Round 2 Race 20 Ecbill #5 vs Comet #10 #3 Qualifier Hulk Mustang runs his best ET and easily moves to the Quarter Finals. Comet ran solid all day but met up with a faster car and is on the trailer. .9242et to 1.1175et
Round 2 Race 21 Crossfire #22 vs Pennywize619 #7 Both cars ran their number. Crossfire gets out front early, but the Blazer just edged out the Impala at the stripe. It was close though. Pennywize moves to the Quarter Finals .9965et to 1.0242et
