Peter, Have not pulled the arm yet but will shortly.
FF is a design series of motors by Mabuchi out of Japan .
FF-30 FF-50 etc
I will look up the specs but the short story they are known as FLAT CAN MOTORS in some circles.

When I ran RC cars I would put a small electrolitic capacitor across the brushes and it would smooth out the motor. You could see the difference on a scope and hear a small increase in rpm. No room to try it with these cars. Have seen caps on larger scales more regularly but also 1/64 & 1/78. Been told these cars were meant for Europe or someplace electric runs on different cycle. ........ Peter

I read it I may try to put some shunts on I might actually get rid of the board and use braid. I will keep shoes and spring and chunk the board.

Hey Lewis, be carefull with board...... pick-up hangers are soldered to board along with brush contacts. I added shunts or jumpers just on circut board to bypass circut. Did not go from pick-up shoe. New Mega G may never change or have performance parts available. But it is nice to see a new chassis that operates so smoothly right out of the box. Can see this chassis becoming a choice for club racing. Don't know if Tomy had intentions of anything other than noise reduction. But seems as if operation is close to flawless for what it is. You mentioned the rear of mtr/gear popping loose on impact. Stop crashing ! ......... lol. When disassembling lifting from rear was easiest way to remove mtr assembly from chassis. AFTER shoes & springs were removed. .......... Peter

Lol peter easier said than done. I'm ordering some better neo magnets for the other car to piggy back them like I did one one already it made a big difference. There my kids they think you can just hold the trigger wide open lol. I'm gonna trade my daughter a Tyco for one and see what I can do with it. I'm gonna try to build a new hanger and shunt to the brushes. Might be a dramatic fail bui I'm gonna see. These cars have polymer motor magnets also. Any way to check the motor for ohms like we do the arms

The release 21 Muscle Cars are out and the Dog had to pickup a few from the local Hobby store Shafers Hobby's in St Louis..... He got both T bolt cars as well as you can't pass on a 62 Chevy Bel Air 409 in black are you kidding me! The Dog plans on buying the 69 GTO Judge in Black and red, the 67 Buick GSX in orange and white and the Challenger as well The Buick GSX is a new body and the Dog can't help but think there are a bunch of Buick GSX fans out there. Good Job to Auto World for this very SWEET collection of Muscle Cars..... DSCN8116 by kdogz, on Flickr DSCN8115 by kdogz, on Flickr Ok the dog should say I couldn't wait to fix up these AW cars up, so the wheels, wheelie bar's, and Bel Air hood scoop add ons from Road Race Replicas, and Vincent wheels are all add ons, but you can' argue about how these Muscle cars look fixed up a bit......

You're absolutely right about the GSX being popular. Sold out at AW in all colors. One went for over $50 on ebay for the body only.
