Here is a project I'm excited about. It is my first shot at casting resin bodies. Pretty much as I figured I have a lot to learn but am not one to give up so easily. I have a few other bodies that I'll be working with this week. The motor is a TM427 resin motor and the wheels are by Pro Tack which can be purchased from www.tsshobbies.com

All Right! very cool! Looks clean no pickup shoes. Is the body post in the back or is it hooked to the motor?

I tried running this type of pick up system a while back. It eliminates the pick up shoes and springs. All it is, is braid solder to the metal plate on the chassis. The braids are folded to give them a little spring that allows for down pressure to the rails. As far as running them and seeing any performance gain? none that I've found. It does give the car a clean look. I'm not sure if I'll leave this on the car or go with a regular pick up system. No body mounts yet. This is a small body which is part of the reason I decided to use this one as my first try with resin. I'll make a custom mounting system for either the back or do something with the sides.

Scott, the rear tires are from Aj's (part # 3200b) they acutually do hook up pretty well. They fit great on these Pro Track wheels. Yeah I agree, This would make a great looking Altered.

VERY Nice Sam! ;D 2 questions...where'd the 'master' come from for that? And, on those wheels..is there a way to order from TSS directly off the site, or do I need to contact them? Wanted to check out prices but couldn't find a way to do it from the site. Good to see Pro Track doin HO wheels now, they've been doin great 1/24 wheels a LOOONG time (since the '80's or before!) That pickup system is kinda intresting too!! ;D Ron (Bondo)

Ron, this was a Hot Wheels. 33 Ford I think?
The best way to get some of those wheels is to give Tom a call at Tss Hobbies. I've actually had these wheels for a few years now. IMO they are the best looking aluminum wheels around for HO cars. They have some cool directional wheels also.

This one sat on the bench for awhile. Starting to look a little better now. Made a new mold for the body. Molded this one in black and added Scale Auto Modeling Flame decals (ebay). Topped it off with HOK clear.

Excellent job, Sam! Will you be adding this to the SKR body lineup? What are the sources for the great looking engine and wheels?
Thanks, Rick V.
