This should be a fun class. No traction magnets! Can you say Fabulous Floppers? Rules might be updated after we race a few times to suit this class needs such as the maximum weight. Note the minimum tire size. This is so no one runs too low of a tire allowing them to get more down force from the motor magnets. Unlimited Armature, Don't think you will need anything more than stock on 12.5 volts and no traction magnets. No minimum weight, only a maximum weight. Read first line of this post about Floppers.

Can somebody help explain the magnet rules please. They read No Traction Magnets allowed. If the chassis you want to use comes stock with traction magnets in it , do they need to be removed

Like Lab81 said, that is correct. Just doing some test runs last week the cars run very smooth with no hop. On one battery running 12.8 volts at the time we had a car go .62. I expect we will get them in the .5's with more testing and experimenting.

I think you'll like running the G-Jets at 12+ volts. Our club has been running them in road races. The competition is close, and the chassis are user-friendly. We ran a 24-hour race last May, using four box-stock G-Jets. The four cars ran more than 21,000 laps on a 177' track (about 180 actual miles per car) and required no service other than oiling and shoe replacements. That's a lot of 1/4-mile drag races!
