How would you guys feel about dropping the NTRA Funny Car class (BB/FC Tjet Chassis) in favor of running the current 4 Gear NF/C class? It just seems there are more guys into the new class and bodies are easier to come by (Hairy Canary has quite the selection, AW has a few). This would also allow Gassers and NF/C cars to run at the same event. Any thoughts?
Just a joke on the MM/PS answer ;D

Ninja and I are in agreement that the NTRA was set up for running T-Jets only, I do think the 4 gear NF/C move would be a good one just for the fact that both Gasser and NF/C could be booked on one bill. It could still be done under current NTRA rules with BB/FC but feel there would be less participation in one of the classes due to having to have two competitive "competition" class chassis. As long as they still make Yellow Willys bodies (Lions Special) for T-Jets... there will be no other "competition" chassis changes.

iam confused Sam,i just thought you said it would be a good idea to use the 4 gear chassis on the NF/C class,so your saying if we had AFX chassis NF/C and Gasser on one bill and they were both using afx chassis, then it would be the same,i dont understand.if its what i think, you could do afx 4 gear chassis stock for Gassers and then change up AFX 4 gear NF/C rules to maybe allow braid, shunts, shim magnets.anyway iam just suggesting afx chassis, because of the bodies issues,i understand completley when i joined that we used Tjets for about every classs, which dont get me wrong i love the Tjets.but if hardly no bodies are going to be made anymore, then the gasser class will look like a bunch of willys coupes, with different paint jobs.and the mead bros were the only guys making Tjet funny car bodies and actually they were also making most of the Gasser bodies, and i dont know of anybody making Pro Mod bodies, and if we are going to have to start making our own bodies i see alot of people dropping out of the races.i mean the muscle car showdown says it all, look at the amount of entries already, seems to me alot of people like the AFX chassis. this is just an opinion guys, and its what iam seeing. But iam game with whatever.

My bad Scott, I thought you were up to speed with the NTRA rules. My suggestion on changing the Funny Car class is more out of convenience for most in hopes to get more participation at events. You talk like bodies are becoming extinct? Hardly so... Even a hard core AW cheerleader like your self should know that their is a wide selection of bodies available for the Gasser class. My joke on the Yellow Willys body was made in reference to all the yellow Willys bodies at Rick's event (including my own). Put down you pom poms for a minutes to take this all in. We are not trying to change every class in the NTRA....... Only asking to see if the NF/C class would be favored in the NTRA.

Oh yeah ok, and i kinda find out my own answer to the gasser bodies,Road race replica has about four or five bodies that could be use forgasser bodies,.so now what we are trying to find out is keep the 4 gear chassis NF/C and do away with the BB F/C tjet chassis class? ima up to speed on most of our rules,But i get the BBF/C class mixed up with the NF/C. like i said i know we run mostly tjets, but i do feel threre is room for a few AFX classes as well. iam not saying get rid of all the tjet classes, just look at some of the ones where we cant get bodies, now my bag on the gasser comment,i forgot about RRR.and Model Motoring might have some as well, but i think its a good thing to have a couple different chassis as long as they are available and that they are not expensive. Thanks for clearing all that up for me Sam.
