1. Is there any class other than the NF/C where the 4 gear chassis is used? 2. If there is other classes can the Blue Drag arm be used?
I found door-slammer is possibly the only other. I looked at the HODRA rules and didn't find any such classes. I have built a couple 4 gears using this arm and they are wicked fast compared to other arms.

Doorslammer class is the only other class at this time. At least as far as the NTRA goes anyway. People have suggested that the 4 gear car become a 'larger' part of the NTRA, and I can go along with that. For me personally, this has become my favorite kind of chassis, mostly because with the added length of the wheelbase, a lot of diecasts can be used to make resin bodies from. At least it's a LOT easier to 'transform' them anyway. And yes, you CAN make these cars , as they say, "Stupid fast"! Just look at what my Doorslammer ran at the recent NTRA proxy race at Sam's track (qualified with a .6660 at over 20 mph). Also, look for the post from tjetsgrig on here about how fast he made one go. Granted, his was modified a lot more than mine, but my times weren't too far away from his. MPH, now that's another story! His was WAYYYY faster! Blue Drag arms are legal in that class, I believe the rule states 5.0 ohm arms or higher. Mine has a vintage (New Old Stock) Tuff Ones arm with JL dark blue and white magnets, running an original type Aurora chassis (bought new from Jag Hobbies, they are still available there). I am building several more cars for this class, all with different arms and some new AW chassis, and even one ORIGINAL, vintage, non mag-traction chassis just to see the differences in each. I have several Tuff Ones arms (red tip, green wire), a few Mean Greens (one American Line green tip, gold wire), one vintage (green tip, green wire), a 'newer' Blue Drag (blue tip, gold wire), and an original (blue tip, green wire). Guess you could say I have a "Doorslammer R & D Program" going here...LOL!. As you can see, I LOVE this class! ;D So, basically, only two classes for the 4 gear, NFC and Doorslammer, and actually I think the Blue Drag would be legal to run in Gasser class (because of the ohm reading on the arm) but I'm not too sure they work very well in a Tjet chassis, since they were designed for the 4 gear, and have a lot different torque and top speed rating. I've never heard of anyone even trying it either. But at present, only legal in Doorslammer. Didn't confuse ya, did I? ;D Hope not. Guess that's WAY more 'detailed' than you asked for, huh? (you'd almost think I actually KNEW something about this now wouldn't ya..LOL! ;D) Ron (Bondo)
