Couple of questions on rules. Saw 6OHM under arm, is this mean green type arm. That may be slightly lower. Or do we have to keep them 6 ohms and above?
Under Bodies - mounts may be changed to lower bodies - does this mean wheel wells can be opened up, and can the body be lightened as long as stock appearance remains?

Couple of questions on rules. Saw 6OHM under arm, is this mean green type arm. That may be slightly lower. Or do we have to keep them 6 ohms and above? Mean greens, red tip, blue tip, or any unaltered factory pancake armature. In the past the arbitrary number of 5 ohms was used, but questions came up on where to get a 5 ohm armature. The 6 ohms listing allows the same arms allowed as those under the 5 ohms listing. If you have a rare unaltered factory arm just below 6 ohms it is allowed for this class. Under Bodies - mounts may be changed to lower bodies - does this mean wheel wells can be opened up, and can the body be lightened as long as stock appearance remains? tia .............. PC Body mounts can be altered to give body a mild slammed appearance. Minimal arching or arcing for tire clearance allowed. However, both should not appear on the same car. If tires extend beyond fender, lowering body should not be considered. If applying mild slammed look, tires should fit under fender without modification to car body. Car body should retain its stock appearance.

Could run next month if it has stock arm and tires are in specs. NOOOO she couldn't! It has the stock arm and stock sized tires, but, has a T-jet rear axle, the traction mag pocket has been shaved off, the wheels are modified to get the tires tucked in, the rear wing was added, and the body mounts have been modified to lower the whole thing a bunch. A stock one looks like a monster truck compared to this one. Heres the two together, the blue one ran last years race.

Would a Cobra body me legal for Pro Street? I don't have too many AFX bodies to chose from and I thought about using one of these.

Chris I don't have a problem with that. I consider that a performance type street body. We will let ninjatek have the last word on that if not. Good luck in the race.

Hey KS, little confussed, did you find that term under thread title. PS/X-tractions have brush springs. But the term spring brush sounds like a small piece of wire used to contact comm. and act like brush. Maybe I should say used instead of carbon brush. Could be where the term brushless came from, not sure on that. But something has to contact comm. Have never taken one of those apart. Tom (TGM), posted that the small motors from Radio Shack have such a contact (the small wire).......not having opened any of the motors I have, I envisioned this to be something like pick-up spring that slips over barrel in Tyco's and others. .............................. Hey Dennis, think what you were looking at was in reference to using a coil spring in a chassis not designed for it (t-jet type) or as an additional spring. OK, in chassis llike X-trac's and so forth.
