Wow! Very lively discussion going on here. A lot to consider. I hope the discussion will continue as the more attempts at a solution the more likely a solution agreeable to all will be found.
My only interjection here is whether a viable solution is found in the next hour or three months from now there will be no change in MM/PS rules for 2014. If any new changes are to be made they will not be in affect until 2015.

If timing of the arms is the major issue then I say allow retiming of the Tyco type arm.(Allowing an even playing field)Or require a T-bulkhead in a G+. The T bulk head is $10.00 Tyco 3.5 arm is $6.00 the electricals (shoes, springs, brushes, brush barrels) are around $8.00. Added all up thats around $23-$25. That is pretty close to the cost of just a high power arm for the G. I am one that is experimenting with the T bulk head because I do not like being held hostage to the cost and availabilty of the G bulkhead. I have seen G bulk heads start at $6.50 and up. Do some comparison shopping and compare a T-bulkhead build to a G build. The choice is yours. Just my thoughts.

Super G bulkheads prices have gone through the roof. Here is a nice alternative to replacing motor brushes rather than having to buy the whole bulkhead. It requires some time and patience but to me is well worth rebuilding 5 old bulkheads for $5 rather than spending $35 to $50 to replace them all.
Wizzard #E20 STOCK G+ REPLACEMENT BRUSH & SPRING 5PR $5.00

Seeking Test Chassis for Data
In an effort to determine what action to take with regards to leveling field for all chassis in MM/PS class. Tom aka Phantombse, has agreed to receive various chassis types for the purpose of gathering data for comparison against SG+ chassis. If anyone has a chassis other than SG+ that they would like to submit for testing may do so with the following constraints: any inline chassis that meets MM/PS requirements with this exception: timing adjustments allowed. It is also requested that a build sheet be submitted along with the car. Cars submitted for testing will not be a part of the MM/PS race. If you have interest in submitting a chassis for testing, please make you intentions known by post to this thread in the same way as you apply for sign-up.
Chassis will be run/ tested/ timed at Atco Dragway the weekend of Nor'Easter.

Few ideas floating around............. what kind of magnets are in the Mega G chassis the chassis designated by 1.5 and 1.7 , not sure on the name. Also what kind of magnets are the AW traction mags. Would they be legal in this class ? ? ?

Was thinking about an inline class that allows any HO inline chassis. The rules, must be hard body resin or plastic. The tires are black. Drag bikes are welcome, must be inline. The class is basically unlimited.
Here is the kicker, it will be run on an index. MM/PS evolves into Outlaw Pro Stock. The Texas pro stocks are already bumping close to the 3s in ETs. How about a .390 index. This way we are not adding another class we are simply changing the name and opening it up to other inline chassis types.

Peter I guess you could spend that if you want to. However why would you when the cars are already close to the .390 index I suggested anyway. By using the phrase unlimited it allows the other inline chassis's to compete without having to write a bunch of rules. Unlimited when tied to an index is not the unlimited class you refer to. It was just an idea that would allow the other inline chassis's to compete without creating another class. Maybe it's just a bad idea....maybe not......but it could be.....then again
