Hi Guys, Here is 3 of my recent Custom livery builds. They are not 100% historic correct as i built them with a mix match of decals i had. But as one artist told me in painting landscapes dont just copy, bring something to the table. The bottom line they have to look cool, i think i did that! I like the miller car also. I also like the snap-on car in the background. The snap-on is stock from Autoworld, it was an extra body sitting on my bench. I will post more of my customs soon. I'm really having fun doing these. Takes me back to my modeling days. And i love how the car comes ALIVE when you decal them.

You guys build the BADDEST slot cars on the planet! So I had to join. I've always been an "oval" track follower, but would occasionally go to the drags when I was a kid. I've only been in HO slots for about a month or two, and don't know much (anything) about the mechanics, or what makes them go fast....I'm looking forward to building (translate: trying to) drag cars now. thejasonator: For some reason I REALLY feel like having a burger and a beer!

Welcome to the site. Just ask questions when you need help. Lots of information available. Check out some of the past races to see the large variety/types of cars raced here. From stock T jets to all out cars. Dave

LOL, Mcdonalds and Miller high life sounds like a stomach ache! LOL I guess ill need to do an IN-n-out burger funny car and a Crown Royal! On another note welcome there is some great builers on here, im slowly learning how to slam them and add custom wheels to make them look bad ass! As far as going fast... my group just uses stock AW 4gear (i know slooooow) but we added the AFX tripower plug and run 20 volts as opposed to 12. This made the cars run way better, and fun enough for a 13' track. You can get as serious as you want, and lots of ideas on here! I've pretty much shelved all my 1:32 Scalextric cars for the forseeable future. Im hooked on HO drag racing!!

Why not join us when the next race comes around that interests you.. Nostalgia Funny Car is a stock 4g class that uses slip on tires. Usually run at 13v......... could be a club project.

Remember in my intro, I said that I liked cartoonish looking cars. You guys make some unbelievable replica cars, but I'm not quite ready for that, yet.
This was a Hot Wheels Poppa Wheelie, it was ugly, I had to have it! So for an investment of .83 , I came up with this, still ugly, but I like it! Some of you are laughing, stop, you're going to hurt its feelings...Still have to do headers of some sort. Still have to do slightly larger rear tires, front tires from the HW chassis are the same diameter as the AFX, but hard and skinny (ordered a wheel puller). It's on a Mega G chassis.

Hey Sweet, What you call ugly...... I call character. Gassers & Altereds have always been my favorites because they have or had ugly........ you know , character. Cars with their own look. Not just.different paint jobs. KEEP UP THE UGLY !
Myself & others probably more than me use Hot Wheels fronts at times. Always on the lookout for spoked fronts. Other types can be taken down and used for inserts so wheels match.
Just recently found out some Hot Wheels are made with plastic bodies. Color Shifters, is the name. In case you did not know.
The Mega G, has of late become my favorite for doing customs. Being narrow and low makes fitting bodies easier than tappering another chassis to fit body. Also alot easier to put a motor into car with low front of Mega G. Are you using the old or new Mega G chassis ?
