Thanks, Peter....I only use plastic HW bodies. The Poppa Wheelie body is plastic. The rear spoiler was cut from the deck of a Maximum Leeway (plastic). One way to tell, most of the time, if they are plastic is to check the mounting rivets, If they are the same color as the body and not scratched, it more than likely is plastic. ALL plastic cars will have a metal chassis....All Color Shifters are plastic, but cost about $3 more One sure way is to check this site. Do a search for a particular car (upper left corner), then look at the specs. It will say whether the body is plastic or metal. store.kmjdiecast.com/storefrontprofiles/default.aspx?sfid=80587&sid=1

D/G 55 Chevy, one of the classes and cars I ran long ago. Why NHRA ever dropped the gas class will always be a mystery to me. Especially with all the crazy classes they kept. Gassers were very popular in the 60s.

I just got 3 of those Poppa Wheelies from a friend. Love that body. It fits a 4 gear chassis perfectly and the rear tires and wheels fill the wheel well. I've got one mocked up now, I cut the scoop off the top, added the rear wing from a top fueler, and a Hairy Canary engine. Poof! Modern AA/FA! Next up using the same body, but on a T-Jet, gasser, then another AA/FA, old school though.

Tom , hope we get a peek.......
Going to take a closer look next time I see one in store. Is name for particular body or do cars actually do a wheelie somehow ?
Name & body pictured remind me of posts about cars with hinged rear so car appears to be doing a wheelie. Hmmmm......... what races are coming up ?

I like the one I did, it's quick and it handles well on my oval track. I would have used a different spoiler, but that was the only one I had....I can't wait to see what yours looks like, it sounds me...(I mean sweet!).
