Although the AW Legends are really nice there was something about the Camaro that was not right to my eyes. It just seemed a little stubby in the nose. Out came the tools and I extended the body to allow the use of the forward most axle hole. Looks a little better. Now to finish it up and make a mold.

Nice work, that's a lot better but still too short for most floppers of that era. You beat me to it though I can't stand the look aw Camaros. It could be wheelbase. They loved to shove the wheel wells as close to the grill as possible. I tried moving the wheel wells on the tyco body. Still not right but better than stock. The funny thing is that Larson 67 Camaro USA1 car was really short, it looks stock sized.

Nice work Steve! I agree mine could go longer but I wanted it to fit the 4G chassis without using a separate front axle.
I am working on another which will be longer for use with an inline and a separate front axle.
Again - Nice work.

Hey guys, Camaro's are looking good. Been putting my finger over pics. More specifically the top of both cars, front to back window. If roof line were shortened slightly in front..... hood would become longer without lengthening overall body. Just a thought........ to many other unfinished projects have to get done here. LIKE GUIDE PINS ON SOMBODYS 143 before I go to PO.

Yeah Alan, that makes sense. I can't wait to see your paint job for that one. Will you be selling these baby's?

I agree, Alan -- the AW Funny Car version looks too short in front, almost the same proportions as a production body. Your "nose job" gives it the look that I remember on the 1:1 cars.
Good work! Rick V.

Thanks for the feedback Rick!
On a different note. Those devices I mentioned to mount in the ceiling work great however they are a bit pricey but it sure solved my issue with the timing system!

Steve, I will post a few pictures when the Camaro comes out of the paint booth but it will be awhile what with the back to back races to be held at Maple Groove. I have a had many requests for the bodies I have done over the past and never really gave it a thought perhaps it is about time to open the doors but do not want to step on any toes of those already out there!

Alan, Heck yeah you should. Your bodies are great and we need a new outlet for bodies.

I don't think you'd be stepping on any toes. The guys that make bodies here pretty much do all different things, and then when we get them each one has their own idea of how they should look. Thats what makes it so great.

Thats what makes it so great. Peter and TGM, Never really thought of it that way. Perhaps its time to make them available and create some more. With the way my shop is setup now I can do a least two new molds a month. I will look harder at this. Thank you Alan

Alan speaking of molds. Would it be any easier to 3d print these bodies.

Hi Lewis, Great question but in my book the answer is no. I have done a few on my 3D setups and found it to be very time consuming from start to finish. Many steps involved not to mention the final step of cleaning and smoothing off the print.
I use the 3D to do one off masters and take the time to clean it up then make a mold of the print!
