Bought one of the new Jag hobbies TR-3 In-Line Motor Chassis for Screw-On T-Jet Bodies. This is a direct fit for most T jet bodies but I had to modify this Sting ray body as there are 2 front axle mounts and this body used the intermediate mount on the original. Price is now 22.50 which is a considerable drop from the original cost. I checked the performance on my Drag strip and found the ET for 15.5' was respectable running a .78 with a .0605 60' which is very good for a stock inline. This appears to be due to good traction magnets and good stock silicone rear tires. MPH was not that good as the car flattened out at about the half way mark hitting only 14.5 MPH. Other stock chassis can hit 16-17 MPH but generally will not ET as well as this chassis. It appears that this chassis will work well on tracks with a lot of turns and short straights but someone else will have to test that. Design of the chassis looks good includes brass motor bearings, Neo traction magnets and the chassis fits nicely into a T jet body. Front axle is adjustable between a 1.2 & 1.4 wheelbase. Rear axle is removable which makes maintenance easier. In my opinion if you want a quick and easy way to make one of your T jets bodies run much better this is the answer. Dash tjet inline
t jet inline
t jet inline PerformanceI of course cannot leave anything alone and I will do some mods on this chassis. Think I can get it running much quicker and faster.

Just applied the HO scale Nitrous/Supercharger mod to the Jag chassis, otherwise known as braid, and it reacted very nicely running a best of .62 @ 19 mph. That's a .015 ET improvement and almost 5 mph, quite a difference. This makes it one of the quicker stock cars I have with braid as the only mod.

Did some break in on the 2nd chassis using simichrome paste and it ran a lot better hitting .6288 @ 18.63 mph. This put it very close to the first chassis which also improved with some run time hitting a best of .6026 @ 19.54 mph. The 60' times are amazing on these cars which both run in the .05 range most of the time. This is superior for stock inline chassis.
