Been bidding on those for a while but keep getting sniped. Were you one of those snipers?

This body came with a group of about 100 cars I bought in the past when I was buying slots to sell. This is one I kept as it was unusual and there were quite a few running on the drag strips in the past. I stuck a G+ chassis in it but it was made for a T jet style chassis. It is well done but I did not do the body.

Those Studes are cool cars with lots of racing history. They were very popular at the salt flats.
Since I kept getting sniped on eBay, I searched for resin Studes but didn't find anything. It would be great if there was a Stude body for AFX or 4 gear chassis.
Maybe we'll see your Stude at one of the events sometime. It'll certainly fit right in at the gasser races.

I will enter it in the next event. It certainly fits the B/GS class. Got the maroon 69 Camaro back from Kiwi today. Turned out the cluster gear was slipping. Could only muster a 1.1 on my track at 20v. fixed that and it ran a .83, surely woke up.

Had to leave the nitrous behind when mine shipped out. The yellow one sure missed its braids. The other one seemed like it had too much down force. Dave had mentioned that the tuff ones tire diameter may be undersized. When I put larger wheels and tires on the magnets had nearly no effect. Didn't want to mess with modifying the magnets so tuff ones went back on. May have to rethink that.

When I ran the Camaro here at 18v it had broken into the .8s. Hard to detect that the cluster gear is slipping unless it gets bad enough. In this case it was the smaller gear that drives the crown. It would actually leave pretty good some times and then slip when it was half way down the track which is not the way this happens normally. Still the racing was fun and Dave put on a good show. How are your track plans going? A 2' wide base made out of 1/2" plywood should work well for a track, this leaves room for scenery etc. I used 2x2 & 2x4 for framing.
