Jeff Please put me down for two Gassers and a Kiwi Challenge car. If I have the time I might add a stock T jet later. I started a Capri FC body awhile back and was going to run it at KiwiDave's Race and hopefully will in the future. I think The Capri was one of the more popular FC body's in Kiwi Land ? When you announced The Kiwi Challenge I thought perfect. I have it roughed out and hopefully I will have it done by Race Day ? I haven't seen this build in a loooong time. Kevin this post of the Ford truck mods was what inspired me to start building customs. I joined in 2011 and had only built models before this and raced my slot cars when I was teen. I had not ever thought about making these kinds of modifications on an HO body before that. I've been hooked ever since! So I blame you for this addiction to customs that I have.....LOL. There are others I can blame......just thought I would share that. It's a great article. Thanks. While i am sorry I got you addicted really I am not, the resins you are doing are sweet, and your paint work equally nice so Thanks and Thank you for the cool Pickups...

It would be interesting to know what you think about front traction magnets as opposed to rear I have never seen anyone try front magnets

I was cleaning up my Drag Strip (from the Christmas action with Grandkids and their Fathers) for a future Article in Slot Car Mods on my Road Course, and I am also sending photos of the drag strip as well. I came across a truck I haven't seen in a while, am thinking it would be cool to see what was raced in one of the first Psycho Slots Proxy races. This 32 Ford Rat Rod Pickup resin came from one of the Mead Brothers and the decals as well. It is a stock Jonny Lighting T Jet chassis (some of those original Chassis were so fast they needed wheelie bars out of the box this is one). I think the only mod we allowed were Brads, wheelie bars and wheels at that race. Not sure what my time was then, but I warmed it up and just ran a .735 not bad for stock. Anyways the 32 Truck...... By the way you can see all the natural patina from handling over the years, and I left that for all to enjoy fullsizeoutput_c9d by kdogz, on Flickr fullsizeoutput_c9c by kdogz, on Flickr

CAR NUMBER THREE: "SEMPER FIDELES"OWNER: CPL JAY McELROY USMC I’d like to tell you all about a special entry we have for the Fall Nationals. CPL Jay McElroy is stationed in Iraq on his second tour of duty. His father Rich (keystoneracing) was able to send him a car and some parts for Jay to work on in his spare time. Jay is entry #19 in Rat Rod. With the amount of time it takes for shipping back and forth to Iraq Rich was unable to get the parts together for Jay in time to build anything else except for a Rat Rod. He had mentioned that Jay would like to run another class as well. Once we heard this the wheels started turning. We contacted some of the Psycho members to make the personalized gift of a funny car for Jay to run at the Fall Nationals. Jay is #18 in BB/FC. The car will be mailed to his father after the race for Jay to keep. Jay returns from his second tour of duty sometime in February. Kdog, John Balich, Gary Mead, Allstarhr, Troy Mead and myself all came together to build this car for Jay. The fantastic paint was done by Kdog. The picture does not do the car justice. John Balich donated the chassis, made personalized decals for Jay to have his name on the car along with other decals. Gary Mead donated the Mopar decals. Allstarhr helped fund the project. Troy Mead donated a few decals. I get the pleasure of building/ tuning and finishing it off. Thank you to all the guys for coming together for this special project. CPL Jay McIlroy, thank you for your service to our country. On behalf of all the members of psychoslots.com we present to you your new funny car. History provided by Sam Beckworth I thought it would be fun to repost this car NTRA built and gave away to CPL Jay Mc Elroy serving in Iraq at the time. I can't believe this is almost ten years ago. If memory serves me The Mead brothers sent the body and some of the decals The Dog his own self painted the very cool camo paint John Baluch printed the decals, and Sam and allstarhr did the chassis work. A very cool memory for me and I am sure the rest of the guys that pitched in as well

It gives me great joy to follow up on this: just now received an email that the vendor volunteered to be shipping out a new chassis today. He said I could keep the other one for parts. I'm impressed! I hadn't expected that kind of generosity. I'll keep y'all posted as I'm sure it will ship in a padded envelope also but I'm sure he knows his shipping business better than I . I buy chassis from Power Hobby at least 10 at a time and they have always been well packed and arrived in good shape, that being said i am also glad you contacted them and they made it right... It is good to keep vendors honest. Dog
