Peter, here are the exact lights I bought. They are about 4' above the track. They look much brighter here. Lowes Lighting

Picked up this cheap plug in track lighting package of 5 lights at Lowes for about $35. Works perfect and they are mounted to the ceiling. Still need to mount the win lights. Very bright blue lights clearly showing the winner instantly. Mercury Drag Team running laps

Alan, Look under display in settings. There is a 3 & 4 digit option at the bottom. Daniel emailed me back last night to let me know.

Track is fully operational. Track-mate's new software is pretty cool. After a race, a voice calls out the results for each driver. Also there is a new feature that is very convenient for practicing. You can set it up to start when one or two cars are staged. No more hitting enter once both cars are staged. Also another new feature is the full screen. I have an email in with Daniel asking why it shows results for .001 instead of .0001 like I'm used too. I can't find how to change this anywhere in the settings. Also not sure why it says 6 and 60. Should be 60' and 660'. This is my first set up with intermediate times such as 60' and half track. Just another cool way to tune the gearing. I guess they offer a 1000' sensor that I need to look into. Shows MM/PS but these were actually some bracket cars we were playing with. Track-Mate's new software Track-Mate

Put power to the track yesterday and installed the DP3000 this morning. I only need some overhead lighting for the photo cells. I ran a few cars down the track yesterday and it is smooth! Can't wait to hook up some lighting to get some E/T's. laid down some pinstripe this morning as well. Speed trap at the top end Starting line area

On Kdog's side note; That a steal for anyone looking to upgrade or build a new track.

Thank you Jeff, Peter and Tom for checking out the web page to promote our racing. The rest of you please check out the page and give me some feed back. If I have missed any current tracks I will get you later. I ran over my 1GB limit and have to purchase some more memory. I know I need to pickup Alan's Maple Grove and Sam's new track under construction. Alan's photo's have all been deleted except poster. So I will just show the poster. Alan, I guess you moved all your photo's of the Open Track Race? I added Mockingbird Heights and ran out of memory.....Hmmmmm.....Doug you doing that curse stuff again? Great looking site. The promotion page is outstanding!

a few more construction shots. Have all the timing holes drilled for the sensors, track screwed down. I'll be wiring the track this weekend. used drywall to make off track flush with the track. Laid some sod down. Was going to go with styrene walls but found these wood trim pieces at Lowe's for less than $3 each. They come in 8' lengths.

Looks great Sam! One question, how wide is your track? I'm trying to decide how wide to make mine. I really like the width of yours. Thanks guys, total width is 9-3/4", Lane spacing is 4-1/2"

more progress..... Thinking about going with a yellow starting area. It looks nice on the dark grey surface. The white retaining walls are styrene that I plan to run all the way down the strip. Off the track surface I'm going to fill in with 1/4" drywall which will make it flush with the track. I didn't want to take up too much space in the basement so I made the table a little bit narrow. I do plan on putting scenery up with the space I do have. Here is some landscape from the PSD that I kept around. Everything is set up loose here just to get an idea of colors. I love the surface on this Elite track. Its very smooth and you can see the cars reflection.
