Track looks good Jeff. Looks like there will be some luck of the draw at this race. Who will have the quickest ET??? Don't think it will be my car. Found it sitting on my track with the scenery.

Congratulations Mike, good guess. I remember that Firebird running at Smoky mountain. Don't remember the times however. My guess will be .3887.

If I had ever thought this class would start so much controversy I would never had suggested it. Debating now whether to even include it at my race. Looking doubtful.

Pure stock will mean, mass produced, out of the factory no changes except rear tires and they must be the same size or smaller. Only traction magnets allowed would be what it came with, no wheelie bars, nothing but pure stock. Gears will be as it came from the factory, forget the 7/25 rule for this race. As soon as Jeff's race is over I will be posting the rules for the race. Super Stock will be the catch all for all other chassis that don't fit the Pure Stock rules.

I am conferring with Jeff on the gear issue. A decision will be made in plenty of time before the race. I am aware of the stock G+ with an 8/20.

While testing and tuning for the race, I pulled out 2 poly mag Tjets with Dash “5 ohm” arms. The 4 Lam measured 4.2 ohms ran a best time of .724 at 24v The 3 Lam Measured 4 ohms ran a best of .692 at 24v For comparison: PSO Steeler, MT with a mean green and ceramic magnets ran .613 at 24v New Super Comp AFX with mean green 5.7 to 5.8 ohms and poly magnets ran .558 at 24v All cars tuned by the same person using roughly the equipment makes for a pretty good comparison. The Steeler car is mid pack in PSO so it’s not like the numbers were from a freaky fast car like Dave’s rebel Nomad. Bill it looks like in your tests the Poly mags made a difference. I have 2 cars that are going to Jeff's race for Super Comp. The blue 57 Vette has Poly's/mean green and it is running similar to yours at about .550 @ 24 volts. The Rebel 57 Nomad is quicker and faster with ceramic magnets but it always was a crazy fast car for what it was. Coming out of retirement to see if it can win in a higher class.
