NTRA Rules: Revised 2021 by SKR

These are only guidelines of chassis builds that have been popular for NTRA racing in the past. These guidelines are not mandatory for each race host to follow as it is their event, therefore they have the final say on what is legal. Race host MUST post their own rules for their event(s). All rules for the events will be posted on the entry list thread  at the time the entry list is created.


2021 is shaping up to be action packed and will once again have some of the best HO Drag Racing tracks hosting NTRA racing. I invite everyone from newbies to the most experience to get in on part of the action and join us for some friendly competition. All it takes is a slot car or two and a passion for drag racing. There are no membership fees. Entry fees for each event is just the cost of return shipping (usually $9). Sign up for the next event today!

2021 Rules


These are the chassis rules. Body rules are posted below. This is set up so that a host can say we're racing "Pancake - Comp T-Jet" with Gasser body rules, everyone wanting to compete at that race would have to send a T-jet chassis with a Gasser type body since the race host requested it. A race host could also say we're running "Pancake Comp T-Jet"  with "open" body rules which gives the racer options to choose whatever body they want to run as long as their chassis falls under the "Pancake Comp" rules.


"Open Pancake" is racers choice, run anyone of the division chassis.

NTRA Rules: Revised 2021 by SKR

All body class rules below are suggestions only and up to the race master to enforce. The only mandatory rule for each class is the minimum weight rule with the exception of open and unlimited. This allows the competitor to get into the spirit of the class without worrying about a weight disadvantage. Race masters do not need to own a scale. One will be provided for the event if needed. Poster putty will be added to the underside of the body for cars that do not meet the minimum weight requirements. Poster putty can also be provided to race masters if needed.
