While installing my Lexan windows using the technique listed in another thread, I found myself dissatisfied with the black I had put on the edges using the instructions from the thread. (due to my skills, or lack thereof) I stumbled upon a new method that is nearly foolproof, and gives a perfect black edge to the windows, quickly and very easily. Here is my technique: You need a permanent black felt tip pen-for this trick, a large felt tip is probably better than a sharpie, And if the tip is slightly worn, even better! You place the lexan window (with protective plastic removed) edge on against the tip of the pen (see drawing below). With a little pressure, and by sawing back and forth with the Lexan, you cut a small groove in the tip of the pen. This just takes a few seconds to do. Then, without removing the Lexan from the groove, run the pen all the way around the edge of the window, keeping the lexan in the groove the entire time. If done properly, your window will have a perfect black edge with the ideal width. The demo window in the picture below took about 1 minute to blacken the edges.

Thanks for sharing Randtek. Your method looks good from what I see. The more techniques and tips that are shared among the members the better IMO.
