I'm curious what is an average price paid for cars. I know this is a difficult question because you all probably have lots of cars so you probably buy more just plain chassis. I just paid $30 for an AURORA AFX 55 CHEVY FUNNY CAR, T-Jet style chassis I bought it because I havent really seen 55s out there, I see a lot of 57s. I dont think I overpaid or anything but it got me thinking.

You Might want to buy a couple standard T- Jet chassis, then of course on here the mead Brothers make bodies, that way you can build your own and not have to buy them at inflated rates,I guess thats not too bad of a price,Most of the time on here almost all of our classes we use T- jets, and usually you have about $30 in the whole car buy the time its ready to race.

Man that's a great question! In my estimation it depends on a lot of things. In-line or pancake, even t-jet and AW. Then it's Super G+ vs. Lifelike vs. 440's and all kinds of others. Then you get into the body stuff. It's all over the road. Psycho Sam (or leader here) put together a suggestion of build parts for his In-line Pro Stock Race coming up and it listed out at $55.00 roughly. I've bought from many different suppliers like the ones listed at the bottom of the main page here and saved in my mind. I liked to buy 3 or more of the Super G+ at a time and put the $1. body clips on and plus buy Johnny Lightning bodies for them for the drags when I was first started to get enough cars ready for a bunch of us to race at one time. (loaner cars) Now I'm more into building for specific races with Mead Bros. bodies. It's all fun. The one thing I wish I hadn't done when I started (just two years or so ago.) was jumping on the ebay bandwagon and paying too much for some of the old drag cars of years ago. Any of you guys wanting some of those let me know as I'm seriously thinking of re-selling them to someone who wants to be a serious collector of antiques. We do have people who Tjet race only and we have other people here who are in-line leaning. Makes no difference really. Same thing as some guys lean Ford and some Lean Chevy.... or is that Mopar? Any other opinions?
