I moved this because i think i put it in the wrong spot. anyway Where do you get these armatures, I did some searching online and just came up with the lower readings or no reading at all. I checked the ones I have and all of them are around 19. Do you just run the lowest you have for Super Stock as long as it is 16 or above. Would it be competitive to use one with a higher reading? I did a search and found some discussion about it here but it seemed open ended. thank you

Dusted, I went through all my tjets to find a couple that were in the 16's. Your pretty much have to have luck to get one that ohms out right around 16.0. That being said... no need to worry. Take a look at how your armatures ohm out at each pole to make sure they are similar readings on that armature. Pick one out of that bunch that ohms out good and check the com plate to see if it's flat. Then balance it as shown in this thread: www.psychoslots.com/index.cgi?board=tdrt&action=display&thread=581Jet has laid out a nice tune up guide for the S/S cars. If your wanting to buy armatures I know Jag Hobbies sells them but it goes back to the luck of the draw thing. You might have to buy a few to get one to your liking. Jag's link can be found at the bottom of our home page.

Dusted...don't give up on arms that don't mesure in the 16 OHM range, if you find some in the 17 or even 18 ohm range if the polls are equal you may still have a good runner. I got a bunch of Christmas Tree Arms on fleaBay some time back. I found 1 that ohmed 18.6 all polls equal droped it on a gear plate and into a chassis with matched magnets. Droped it on my Dyno, it went crazy, put it on the track and it's a screamer there as well. While low ohms is a good start point it dosn't mean a fast arm always, in the end the track will tell you that.
