Is it typical for HO Slot Car Racing to take two weeks after payment confirmation before they ship an order? I should say two weeks and counting since they still havent shipped it. I ordered from JAG, order confirmed 10pm on the 20th and I received the order today. Just curious if this is typical I will order somewhere else if Im in a hurry next time.

From what I have seen is that these are mostly small businesses and slow delivery isn't out of the norm. Sometimes my guess is that some of them don't have a particular item in stock or maybe a portion of your order and they wait for the balance and then send the whole order. If you order with a credit card, you always have that protection. I see on some of these boards people tend to be very critical of some of these companies. I would prefer to cut them a little slack as this hobby needs to be encouraging vendors and not running them off. If you don't get your order I can see being frustrated, but two weeks doesn't seem like that out of line. I've never heard anything bad about the company you ordered from. |

Dont get me wrong Im not trying to knock them they have a fantastic web site Im just trying to get a feel for whats typical. I completely understand what you are saying. Except for a couple orders everything I bought has been on Ebay, yup I Know lol, so I havent had much interaction with many of these store. Until I ordered from JAG I didnt think a couple weeks was out of hand. I sent an email today asking about the order. It would be nice to let us know if they are out of something but I am not in their shoes either.

Dusted, while I haven't ordered from Jag lately, I used to and never had any problems at all. Always arrived in a logical time frame and in good shape. tjetracer may be right about the backorder taking a few days longer.

I read my post again and although I didnt mean it to be derogatory I can see how it could be taken that way. I didn't really see anything negative and didn't intend to accuse you of anything. I think was just being matter of fact. It's all good. |

Don't know much about them but two weeks seems a little lengthy for waiting on parts. As far as Jags services. They rate up there with the best of them . Very fast and reliable service. |

Thank you all. and yes I was talking HO Slot Car Racing site. a lot of good products and information there. I am just a little nervous trying to get ready for my first race without the tools I need. I started building the Gasser now so I feel like I am moving forward still.
