Winners of the Slot Cars INC. certificates are as follows. 440GTX Overall winner Highwinder, Early entry drawing. Eddiebee, Last Place TSS Hobbies donated a race set and will be sending it to Tyler after his # was drawn from a box. 440GTX gets the wall plaque for winning and Derwood ended up with the Viewers Choice award for best appearing. Other smaller gifts are also being drawn for and will be sent back to the drawing winners. Congrats guys! Thanks again to all the great sponsors and to the PSD crew for helping out. Without you guys we wouldn't of been able to put on this event. Real races have real drivers. The guys did a great job on the tree yesterday. We did see a few of the quicker cars get treed and go out a little earlier than expected. To me that's what makes Drag Racing so exciting. Otherwise you'd see the quickest cars win every time . We all knew who had some muscle in their cars this weekend and they showed it off well. Thanks guys! This has been a fun event and have to say in closing that you guys have the best sportsmanship seen anywhere. I'm proud to be a part of this group with you guys. Off to Florida....... Sam

What a great Drag Race!! If you didn't enter, you missed a great time, If you entered but missed the live play by play by our very own CHIMA, you missed an even better time! Personally it was pins and needles when my car staged for the first time. Yes, I finally won a round. I was further encouraged because the car got quicker with every run. I have a good platform to build on for next proxy MM/PS race. Looks like this class will be around for a while. It requires you do some Hot Rodding to compete, and yet isnt overly expensive or complex. Once again the appearance of the field was outstanding. My 'lemon yellow' Pontiac isn't done yet, but again the platform is there for finishing touches. It still needs a proper slammed stance, parachutes, and a sponsor paint scheme, and the finish needs mucho buffing, but its well on its way to being a 'proper' modern Pro Stocker. Ok Sam you win. Modern Pro Stocks are pretty cool. Could you believe the speeds and e.t.'s of the class A cars? Those 800 cubic inch Mountain Motors were screaming! Special notice of any car in the top sixteen. Those are some stout Hot Rods. No fair making 'em faster til some of us can catch up! The entire class A field was in the threes and Lab 81 the low qualifier in Class B was also in the threes. Tho' this was an ISRA event, it was very much supported and by NTRA. It went off without a hitch thanks to the local PSD crews and drivers. Not many red lights and a couple of those were guys obviously trying slam the tree against clearly faster cars. Can't fault em for that! Once the first green light lights up, the guys forget these aren't their cars and step up like hired drivers trying to keep their ride. Next happening in abig way around here, is the SuperStock Nationals. Check it out if you haven't already. Reading about these races is fun, and watching the 'ticker tape' reports out of Colorado Springs was likewise a blast. When you build and enter a car, the fun goes way up. SuperStock is another natural class to jump in on. The cars aren't expensive, and a few modest modifications are all that are allowed. There really are no speed 'secrets' as guys are very free about sharing with the Psychoslots and NTRA 'family'. Half the fun of these beasties we race, is making them look as cool and a realistic as we reasonably can. Some of the guys here are true artists. Some of us go for the simple paint schemes that were also common on these period race cars. Don't be intimidated by the beautiful appearance of the 'top' cars. Be inspired! If you ask nice one of those guys might build you a body for a modest price, or a trade of some kind. It's that kind of a group here. Actually that sort of thing is an old tradition in drag racing. There are many stories from days gone by about a racer 'waiving' the time limit for ther final round to allow his competition to finish bolting a new engine in his car after blowing the other one, then racing him heads up for the trophy. Guys have loaned engines, transmissions, rear ends, you name it, to their COMPETITION so that the race could be decided on the track. That's OLD SCHOOL, buddy! In fact that's kind of a catch phrase around here. Nostalgic and Modern racing................OLD SCHOOL style. I hope we see plenty of original 'might have been' SuperStocks at the upcoming SS race as well as some Sox and Martin, Grumpy Jenkins, California Flash, Color Me Gone, Lawman, Maverick, etc etc etc cars lined up. Some racers enjoy building their own cars as if they might have raced back in the day, some guys prefer replica cars, and emerging group like building 'what if' cars. What if Grumpy Jenkins race a top fuel car? What if Roger lindamood had a Color Me Gone altered? Pretty cool stuff. The list of participants to the SS race is growing. Last year we had 64 entries. I don't yet know if a limit will be set, but the fields will be broken into smaller units than 64 or 32 to allow more close racing and more winners. Dollar-for- dollar, or even more important dollar-per-entertainment-hour, this style of racing is a bargain. What I'm saying is..................get off the fence, (or sofa) and build a car. Or buy one. I have seen Finished NTRA legal SS cars on ebay. Whatever it takes, get into the action, Dexter! Welcome to the Jungle.....it's racing season 2009 with NTRA and your buddies at Psychoslots.!!

Good race!!!!!!! Demon takes the win with .3811 @ 36.86 MPH to Shipsgunner's .4033 @ 39.64 MPH. Shipsgunner cut one heck of a light! Demon's win margin was only .0013! Sorry I missed the live races... I was predisposed because of obligations concerning Significant Other (wife). I had a regional race on V-day so Sunday was my V-Day... Something has to give or my leash gets shortened... LOL Great Job Demon. It's good to know we are all in good company.. though I would never call you "good"... ;D It's a dodge thing... lol My driver was in rare form with that .0013 resp time. Unfortunately, the car lost ground in Time and Top speed... Must have gotten some bad fuel... ;D Maybe next time Demon.... This nOOb will not be so slow... I look forward to seeing you on the strip again... in drag... MUAHAH or is it "seeing you on the drag strip again... " either way, Im sure it would be entertaining... Have a great day everyone. Dan

Hey SHIPSGUNNER'S It was a honor to race you first round and take your import out DAT-SOON in the race. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D DEMON Considering it was my very first drag race in 28 years and I had to wait on everything to be shipped as I went, the car was a second "Plan B" chassis as the first one I chose does not have ceramic mags (nor are they available for that chassis) all the while I am building a "road race track" and racing locally in a league without any guidance on what works and how to build one of these to really compete and I also had no experience with "slot drag" racing.... the list of obstacles to overcome were immense but I was undaunted and boldly showed up with an import anyway (that takes BIG cahoonas in this crowd). All that aside, you still got punked by a ricer qualifiers proving that it can only get better from the here. As I recall... Demon .3877@35.89 Datsun .3857@40.83 As for you... "Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while..." To put it it moparspeak..."you got lucky" lollol ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Really though, I had a blast with that race and cannot wait for the next one. You are a worthy opponent even if you drive mopar, and I look forward to sharing the xmas tree with you again. Unfortunately, I dont know much about "racing Tjet's" as I have been an inline type from the start. To me, Tjets were a novelty and not a serious "race car" since they were slow so again this will be another first for me... Im hoping to have a solid car for that race but you can never tell until you get some races under your belt. Cheers, Dan

T jets are so widely followed, I guess because so many of the 'old guard' cut their slot racing teeth on them! Stick with it, 'graduate' through a few classes and you will be a 'pancake' motor expert yourself. In-lines arent going away..........look for inline racing in the future as we try to balance nostalgia ravcing with current racing.
