i'm looking for a slot track, drag or oval, in or near eastern iowa( iowa city/cedar rapids). anyone know of any?

I'm not familiar with Iowa. You could check out HO Drag Registry at the link below to see if there is a track near you www.hodragraceregistry.com/You could try google for information on a track near you as well |

Hopuller,
I have met Jeff, straight up good guy.. Sioux City is a ways from you, but ,, if you decide to make the trip, I'm sure you will have a great time..

Hopuller, if Soo City is too far... time to build your own track and jump in with the rest of us. It's not that expensive anymore with either a slotcarsinc. track or even starting out with a snap together track, buy the budget Trackmate timing equipment and either two snap together type wall wart power supplies or a car battery or power supply. You'll need a cheap computer (Check what you need with Daniel at Trackmate before you buy.) and your racing. If you know 5 or 6 guys that like drag racing, you'll have what you need to get started. You can always upgrade as the racing proves to be what you want to do. That's what happened to me and I've got people that think I'm crazy for the amount of money I've decided to put into it. (Ya don't have to do what I did to have fun. I just wanted what I've got and I'm happy.) as the Nike guys say... JUST DO IT! Two races into the season and I'm at the back of the pack in our points series. I'm still havin fun.
